What an absolutely great spot in Mt. Morris. Nothing fancy but perfect. Just a warning, if you order a tall beer, it's massive. What was the best surprise was the prices. Everything is so reasonable it was actually almost shocking. The bartender seemed to know everyone and she had no problem busting chops. So much fun. They had live music tonight, and it was absolutely lovely. Well worth it. One of the best spots I've discovered in my tour of the general Flint area.

It's under new ownership and they Al have a much better attitude towards customer service. It feels like they care-Here's what we liked:*The beer is cold. That always makes the beer better.*Got the sampler appetizer and I will say- while it was your basic appetizer- the cook did a nice job ensuring it was crisp.*Fried pickles basic but crisp!*Onion rings so crisp.*Homemade each was good.*Sat at the bar and service was great! What could be better-*Rum and coke - while it's not about the coke, was so flat.*Boneless wings- your basic store bought mediocre "wing"Overall it was the most basic bar food- but the beers were cold, the food was hot and the service was great. And the home team was winning- good time What could be better

Just had DD deliver a pizza from here. My first with the new owners. The pizza is pretty good. in MHO, a bit of evoo on the crust, and a little longer bake for my taste. On the door dash there was no selection for well done bake, or crust flavoring. The sauce is good, the cheese, is some of the best mozzerilla around.

Love the cod nuggets and the bread bites. The bread bites are also really good with cinnamon sugar.

I went to Mountain Inn in Mt. Morris last night. Our server took our drink order and brought our drinks. She barely spoke to us. About 20 minutes after that she finally came back and took our order. About 30 minutes after that, my husband asked about our appetizer and she told him the cook had walked out about an hour before, but she was working on it. Half an hour after that she brings them over and drops then without a word, and goes back to get napkins and silverware, tosses them a pile in the middle of the table and says, "I don't have time", and walks away. Then, my friend go to her and asks if they've started our food, because we wanted to leave to go somewhere else, and she said they had. Almost an hour and a half later, our food starts coming out a little at a time. She didn't say anything as she put the food down in front of people, and she continued to make it clear all night that she did not want to be there. She says she will buy a round, and brought drinks to the 3 people that were drinking. ( They were all charged for those drinks that she said she was buying that they did not ask for.) I'm still being the smiling, friendly person that I am at this point. She's barely spoken to us, and was downright snotty when we asked her questions. She forgot my daughter's Mac & cheese, and it took another 15 minutes to get that, then we waited 15 minutes for our check while she sat at a table across the room. About that time we start talking about a tip. Some of us thought she shouldn't get anything. I said we weren't doing that. I've always believed that even the worst service should get something. Then, she brought the bill and Katie asked for a box for the mac & cheese which we had to wait another 10 minutes to get. She brings the bill, and I asked if we could get a discount because it took so long. She gets very snotty and tells me she "doesn't have the authority". I asked to speak to someone who does have the authority, and she gets very snippy and informed me that she broke the rules letting us in and had to make people move away from their table so we could sit down(which we didn't even know, much less ask her to do.) Plus we ate all the food, so no, we don't deserve a discount. I reached for my card and said I would just takes care of it then. She said, "you better!" I don't even know how to explain how rude this woman was the entire 3 hours we were there. This was my final straw. For the first time in my life, I did not tip a server. She started yelling that I'm a fat bitch and chased us out the door, yelling about how my daughter needs to lose weight, that we're all scum, and that my family is not welcome back in the restaurant. Of course we made it clear that we wouldn't be returning anyway.I went to the other bar in town that is owned by the same people to talk to the owner. He did not want to talk to me and all he said to the server that I spoke to was that he would call over to the Mountain Inn and see what's going on. I have not heard from him, even though I left my number with the server, and we have several mutual friends who tagged him in my Facebook post, or copied the post and sent it to him.

I'M AT THE GODDAMN MOUNTAIN INN!Less than two minutes into our time here, we heard this jovial outburst from one of the locals. Whether he was on the phone or just stoked about his current whereabouts is unknown. What is known is that it didn't take long for us to join in his sentiment. Our first time in Mt. Morris brought us to this lively bar and grill. Clearly a favorite among the locals, the place was packed when we walked in around 5 pm. It was evident that the drinks had already been flowing for quite some time.Out of kind hospitality to us out-of-towners, or drunken generosity--or a combination of the two--we were quickly treated to drinks. It was our birthday. This was news to us.The food was reasonably priced and of perfectly acceptable quality for such an establishment.Food is not the main draw at the Mountain Inn, however. The thing that'll bring you back to this place is the people and their strong sense of community. There's a fine line between friendly and creepy, and the gentlemen of the Mountain Inn walk it like Johnny Cash himself. In addition to the round of drinks, we were treated to abundant insider info on the happenings in Mt. Morris--where to get the best late-night fish fry, who has the best karaoke, and what bar to hit if you're looking to get into a fist fight. This info proved valuable, as we left the Mountain Inn and went on to have a memorable night on the town. We'll be back for you Mt. Morris, goddammit.

First time at this bar/restaurant after a Halloween afternoon at Cross Roads Village (which was great!). I hope the owners read this! Hubby ordered a patty melt. $8. Came with chips but with the option of upgrading to fries. It was truly the worst patty melt. Patty melt should be 2 slices of cheese, patty in the middle with onions, grilled. (Like a grilled cheese sandwich but you stuck a burger patty and onions in the middle). Patty melt came with no onions, cheese on only one side of burger (so one half of the bread lifted right off) and barely grilled. Bartender/waitress said she had no idea what a patty melt even was so when we complained on its composition she was dumb struck. This women was in her 30s/40s and had obviously lived under a rock. The French fries were greasy but good. My prime rib sandwich was just ok. Too much ciabatta bread for the amount of meat. Grand son ordered a cheese thin crust pizza. It was ok. He also ordered some cheesy breadsticks. They served some marinara sauce with it. Sauce was bland and cold. Heating it would have improved it 100%. It's the little things that could improve this place. Warm your sauce and google how to make a darn patty melt!
