Closed since Feb 2021 and marquee still up
Usually not one to complain, but this is not at all what was expected. Very disappointing.

I recently purchased a house and not long after taking possession of the home, we received a coupon for a free medium 3 topping pizza. The coupon was due to expire today, so I called the phone number for the J-Cups Pizza in St. James Plaza on w. Central Ave to place my order. Pizza was going to be ready in 10 minutes and I live within a mile of this location thinking we may have found a go-to pizza location.I pull into the parking lot and the marquee sign at the entrance has J-Cups Pizza as one of the businesses located there. I dove up and down the length of the strip of storefronts and I couldn't find J-Cups any where. I drove out of the parking lot thinking maybe it was in the stores next door - nope.I go back into St James Plaza to search again - nothing. I am frustrated beyond measure at this point thinking how can I miss a storefront. I called the phone number for that particular location and the same error answered when I placed my order.I asked her where exactly in St James Plaza are you located, she said that location is no longer open and I was speaking to someone in the J-Cups location on Alexis & Secor (about 15 mins or more drive time).I walked in and informed the person at the register of my run around to actually get to their location and then asked when the W Central Ave location was closed. I was told they closed in February. What? And the J-Cups Pizza still has their sign up on the marquee in St James Plaza? The cashier nervously giggled and said she didn't know when they would be taking the sign down at St James Plaza. To make matters even worse, the coupon clearly states the location in St James Plaza and I did not receive the coupon until July!Sorry J-Cups Pizza, if this rating could be a zero it would. Very poor business management! I will not be returning again.

Since under new ownership, this is now my favorite place to order pizza. This is the second time I ordered their pizza this week. Great job to turning this place around!!!

Absolutely the worst pizza place in the whole city of Toledo. Gooey pizza or burnt to a crisp. Their sauce, if you like it, is two #10 cans of Donatello pizza sauce (found at Gordon Food Service and 8 oz. of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. You're welcome

The flavors weren't stellar but good pizza at a good price makes my list any day! We had a pineapple and ham pizza with some cheesey bread, and like I said it wasn't great, but it was good and for the price point I'll definitely be returning. The only negative I have is we got 1 tiny marinara cup for the cheese bread. That is not even remotely enough marinara. You either need to use a bigger cup or hand out at least 2 of the smaller ones. Also the menu said it came with ranch but we didn't get that either, so by the end we had bread with no dipping sauce, and that was just sad : (

Amazing taste for the value. Mind you, it's nowhere near the best pizza in the city, but for the price it's great. The staff is nice, courteous and the restaurant is always clean. They also deliver, which is a bonus for a "cheap" pizza place. Cheese bread is fantastic and the $5 large is far superior to other options.I highly recommend the food here, especially if you are on a budget.

Today was the second time getting J-Cups. The first time I got a large pepperoni for $5 which puts it right in competition with Little Ceasar's, AND J-Cups delivers! The first thing I noticed about the pizza was that it was incredibly greasy. I used almost the entire stack of napkins soaking it up. I normally wouldn't mind a little grease but I was feeding my son before school and didn't want him to mess his clothes up. I figured it was the pepperoni causing the grease so today I ordered the cheese and found there was almost as much grease on it. They tend to overcook the pizzas a little more than what I prefer, so next time I will be asking them to go a little lighter on the cooking to see how that turns out. There is something super yummy about their crust. It seems like it has that nice crunch to it without being too bready and without being too greasy. (which is good since there's plenty o' grease on the top :) I also like the texture of the crust where the sauce covers it. It does a really awesome bubbly thing that I look for in a pizza. The sauce isn't my favorite honestly. The girl at the counter thought maybe some of the grease came from the sauce too so I may just ask for light sauce next time to see if it's better.Overall, good value and a nice change in flavor than the $5 Little Ceasar's pizza that we're all sick of around here.

Favorite pizza place in Toledo. Anything you order is always fresh and hot. The best Hawaiian pizza I ever had!

I've been going to J-cups on Alexis for about a month now and the other day I placed an order but stayed in the lobby until my food was ready because my daughter wanted to play at their game machine and it wasn't busy so I saw no issue. The food has always been pretty good and still was in this instance however the management I witnessed while in the store was appalling. The entire time I was in there the manager was tearing apart his workers. Every other minute he would yell at them about something minuscule and degrade them with things that don't even relate to the pizza. I've heard others yell at employees in here before when picking up orders but never to this extent. When he brought out my order, he thanked me for my patience then proceeded to passively tell me and other customers in there that it would've been faster if his team weren't stupid and knew how to do their job.He still held up respect towards me and the other customers. But a boss that treats his employees like that, especially in front of customers, is one that should NOT be in business. I usually love the food from j-cups but what I witnessed just left such a sour taste in my mouth. I feel incredibly sorry for all of the employees that work here. Please if you are ever looking for a job at a pizza place, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Worst experience as a customer that I've ever had. I ordered online, and meant to order light sauce and extra cheese, however the order went in as light sauce and no cheese. First I called talked to an employee. He said his manager said to tell me that the order already went out and was delivered so there was nothing that they could do. So I took the order back and I either wanted my money back or a new pizza. I explained how absurd it was to order a pizza that looked like the one that they sent out. It was not eatable, and the manager said "people have allergies so we make it how the order is put through" - cheese allergies I get, but it was cheese stuffed crust. I asked who the owners were, and the guy told me that he was the owner and proceeded to look up my order on the computer to verify that I was in fact in the wrong and didn't know how to read. I admitted I was wrong, that's not in question here, but any other pizza place would have done more to fix the problem for an unhappy customer. THE OWNER proceeded to tell me that I needed to learn how to read better, and when I said you've just lost my business, he said that they were better off and didn't need customers who couldn't read. He also said that by fixing mistakes it would put him out of business and if I ever became a business owner I would understand (I am a business owner and I do everything I can to make sure my customers are happy so they keep coming back). I waited to post this because I was angry right after this happened, and I wanted to have a clear head before writing anything incase I saw this from a different perspective once I cooled down. Well today I've cooled down, and I am still appalled by the way I was treated and belittled by this business owner. We've spent a lot of money there over the years, the delivery drivers know my house, and we've almost exclusively used them since the original owners opened the store. So unfortunately we wont be eating there any longer, quality of the product has gone way down as well. I'll just put this out there too - They were kind enough to take the pizza back and add cheese to it and warm it back up. The pizza was crispy and gross, but it had cheese on it. (as a business owner I wouldn't want a poor quality product like that going across my counter).

Omg we ordered a one topping medium pizza... $6.99. By the time we got home my husband and I ate the whole pizza but one slice! It was so good we couldn't stop eating it. Didn't even have enough left to take a picture of it lol. Everyone was friendly when I picked it up and made sure I had everything I needed! Highly recommend and I hope the owners see this and know I'd drive to get this pizza time and time again!!!!
