Irish Viking

I came across Irish Viking looking for cocktail bars in Hazel Park before a dinner reservation. We made a reservation online and followed the directions in google maps. It was a typical speakeasy in that it was difficult to find the entrance. I won't ruin it for you, but the clue is in the name. The venue has two floors, with plenty of comfy seating throughout, and a bar on each floor. Our bartender, Lauren, was excellent and made our drinks perfectly. The signature menu is very fun, and the bars are well stocked for all your favorite drinks. Everyone in our group of six enjoyed their drinks, and we ordered a second round.Overall, the Viking vibe is really fun, and I hope they run with it as they grow. I would love to see some themed events here someday. Our bartender said the venue can be rented out for private parties as well, and it would be a great place to host a party some day. The drink menu changes seasonally, so they currently have some great fall flavors in the cocktails.

Semi regretting reviewing this place because I know soon I won't be able to get in! But no gate keeping here... Lauren and Irish Viking are that place! Great drinks and better conversation. You won't regret the night out.

A hidden gem that you must be persistent to discover. Like the speakeasies of the past, you will find no signage, just a lite candle at the gate. You will be rewarded with unique cocktails in relaxing atmosphere. (If you need assistance, ask at the Sports Bar)
