A Toledo tradition for generations! I have taken my kids here for years! Great family business, amazing food and and old school environment that makes Inkys a must stop!

The staff is attentive and the restaurant gives a fun, old school vibe. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and found the sauce too sweet for my taste. Although it wasn't to my preference, it was fresh and flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I want to like this place more than I did because it is a neighborhood classic and I want them to do well, but the food was not to my preference, unless I need to try something else on the menu that is not tomato sauce based. Hopefully next time I don't there, I will find something I really like and I will be able to amend my review.

No frills but a very solid red sauce. I stopped here from just driving the neighborhood and scoping out the area. This popped up on my radar through YP. It's a family owned business and my server has been here 27 years. Prices are incredibly reasonable especially with the whole inflation situation since Covid. I had a three separate item combo of lasagna, veal parmigiana, and a shelled pasta. Due to the red sauce which I liked all three passed. I do have a few comments regarding my dinnerService was very goodNothing seems to be made from scratch in pastas or salad dressings. The veal was good but I wish it had been pounded thinner The lasagna pasta was over cooked but the blend of meat and red sauce made it overall a solid dish. There was too much red sauce which made it a little soupy. I would have preferred if half of the portion served was in a bowl off to the side. You couldn't see the actual food through all the sauce. The pizza was ordered often and looked good I will come back.

Just updating my review for about 4 years ago ... I still remember the First time I went to Inky's honestly I only went because of a few recommendations I didn't know what to expect.Well, the place is very clean and the staff is super friendly with excellent service! Never felt rushed at all and it had an excellent family atmosphere which is always nice The downside is the food wasn't very good ... the tomato sauce lacked flavor and the texture didn't taste fresh at all with a few small upgrades I'm sure this place could be absolutely amazing! The best part was the French fires and Bread & butter. The salad was bland with very little zest.Anyways the last Review I left wasn't fair I'm not only doing more detailed reviews.

I've been here a bunch of times and it can be very inconsistent. This last time was pretty good. I had the eggplant parm. When they get it right, it's really good. When they get it wrong, it's usually undercooked (it's really awful when this happens). Nice job this time. Just a few things to know if you've not been here...1) Their red sauce is pretty sweet. If you don't like sweet gravy, order alfredo, pizza or a sub.2) They do not have a full bar, just beer and wine. 3) Their pizza is really great. 4) Alfredo is "home made" - none of that stuff from a jar.The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Prices are pretty good too.

On the recommendation of the server I ordered lasagna and veal parmesan combination. For an "italian" restaurant this was very average, if that. The lasagna was mostly layers of pasta, with very little meat sauce, which consisted of crushed tomatoes with sliced garlic and basil. The veal parmesan was a warmed over frozen hocky puck. It was tough and flavorless. The marinara was not bad, a little sweet, and thick. A couple of white rolls were included. Nothing special. I never thought I would say this about any true Italian restaurant, but Olive Garden is better. Much better.

Inky's has been a favorite of ours for years. The food is always hot and delicious and the service is excellent. The restaurant has two sides and usually has plenty of seating. I had a small pizza with the meat sauce as it is so tasty. The pizza is served on a dinner plate and is plenty for one person. Our server was very nice and checked in on us several time. Lots of great Italian dishes to choose from at a place that has been serving food for 66 years! Stop in and enjoy!

We have enjoying Inkys Italian Restaurant on Detroit Ave Zfor many years.Last evening we were there. I ordered a sizzling steak. When it came out it wasn't sizzling and the steak was extremely tough. I told our server and she asked if I wanted another. I told her no thank you, that I would have a small spaghetti. When we received our check I was charged for a large spaghetti because she needed to charge me for the french fries that had come with the steak. Not so happy experience. We'll be trying the other Inkys.
