Ida Tavern

This is a nice little bar/restaurant in Ida Michigan. They have a nice selection of food choices including Brussel sprouts which my wife loves. I tried the bacon hot dog this trip and it was excellent. The hot dog is very plump and tastes like it came from grill. There was lots of bacon on it with bbq sauce and came with a large portion of chips. Stop in here for a beer and some food when in the area. You won't be disappointed.

The Hamburger and sweet potato fries are delish! Very clean with friendly wait staff.

Great place to hang out, good bar food, daily specials, ice cold drinks and great servers.

Nice little small town bar with good food and drinks. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. I like the burgers and this is a fun place to gather at and after the Ida Parade of lights but it gets jam packed that night but a good spot to warm up and use the restroom.

I just started coming here I really like this place. Good food good drinks good service. I started coming here to replace another bar that I used to go ( in Milan) that dissed me. A bar that knew that I drink Yukon Jack religiously, and they didn't keep it in stock or even care that they ran out. I've moved on...Now this place...Nice small town bar with a great Bar Burger, fast friendly service and Keno. If I don't feel like a burger they have a really nice steak. Yea eh?

Stopped in on a Friday night as we were in the area and had not been to Ida Tavern in years. Husband loved the fried chicken gizzards! Loved them so much we returned 2 days later for more! I drink a beer that not many bars carrier (bud platinum) and they had my beer! Staff was friendly, beer was cold and hubby liked the food. Glad we stumbled into this little tavern as we will be back more often.

Great bar, good service, displeasing rules. My friends and I came on the night before Thanksgiving and ordered a few pitchers. We started drinking and having fun when we heard that a live band would be starting soon. We were excited until a woman came walking around with a shoebox wrapped in brown paper asking for money. She said there was a $3 cover charge we had to pay or else we'd have to leave. I'm sorry, what!? You are the Ida Tavern. Not a night club. We decided to bite the bullet and pay the rude woman our $3 to stay. I don't think it's honest for a business to charge a cover half an hour after we've entered the building. That's a door fee, not a 30-minutes-post-entrance fee. Learn some tact for your guests, Ida Tavern.

Ordered chicken strips - was brought looked like kids portion. Small 3 pieces. Also ordered cole slaw and it tasted like days old.Spouse ordered loaded fries. 2 broken off pieces of one slice bacon and a tiny drizzle of cold cheese was on them.Only friendly staff is reason to go.

Ida Tavern is our family's favorite place to eat. Great food and love the daily specials. Service is always great too.

Don't waste your time...walked in sat down...10 minutes not even a hello...walked out went across the street to Carl's...service was excellent...don't waste your time or money at the Tavern...your money is more appreciated at Carl's
