We ate here for Christmas eve. My daugther tried to bring in a bottle of water, because she is allergic to most types of water. The manager said that he was not allowed to let her bring water in. She explained the allergy, but he said that he wasn't allowed.After drinking 1/3 of a glass of pink lemonade, my daughter went to the bathroom and was sick for half an hour. I spoke to the manager and suggested that he find a word around of some kind. It wasn't fair that my daughter's Christmas Eve was damped by this experioence. Not only did the manager give me an agency to contact (He does not make the rule, but answers to a higher power), he also gave us a $25 gift card for a future trip!Things do not always go well, but this manager knows how to treat a customer!

We came here on a Friday night at 6:00 for my dad's birthday. We were sat right away. The service was a bit slow (we didn't leave until 8:00). The table across from us was sat a bit after and ended up having their chef come first and leaving first. The server took our orders and when the chef came out I think there was some kind of miscommunication as he was hard to understand. I told the server of my allergy and she informed me that my meal would be cooked in the back. So the chef was cooking the meal and I did not get fried rice that I ordered (I assumed it was being cooked in the back). The chef got to the end where he was cooking the seafood and the veggies side by side but using the same utensils and then tried to serve me and I declined. After the chef was done cooking, I still did not have my meal. The sever came back and I asked her about it and she said it would be out in 5 minutes. Many minutes go by and I still don't have my meal and everyone else is done eating and had boxed up their food. They finally bring out my meal and I had to ask again for the fried rice. The server said the chef was supposed to give that to you. So they bring out a "condolence" dessert, which was fried ice cream and very delicious! After the ice cream was finished then I finally got my fried rice. But at that point I just took it home. Overall the food was good but there was some miscommunication. The server worked hard to correct it.

Went here for our company Christmas lunch. Really enjoyed myself. The food was good and the teppanyaki chef was very entertaining. I started with the edamame, very fresh. I had a house salad very good lettuce was crisp and dressing was good. My course was shrimp and steak. Both prepared properly. The rice was good. The vegetables were very fresh. I really liked the ginger sauce. The chef was flipping food for me to catch it was fun. All in all a very good time.

We were there last minute on New Year's Eve and the place did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the service was great. There was a short wait because it was packed due to the holiday, but we were seated quickly all things considered. The chef put on a great show for us. It was a great party atmosphere for sure. We are looking forward to going back again soon. The price was very reasonable, cheaper and in my opinion better than Beni Hana.

Went here for a birthday celebration on a weekend during lunch. First time here and I will say it was pretty dark inside. Not sure if that's the atmosphere but I think most hibachi places are like that.Got hibachi and it was reasonably priced, lunch is cheaper than dinner but portions are smaller. It was still enough for me to have leftovers to take home.

We have had some excellent meals here, both at the hibachi tables and in the full service restaurant side. Service has been excellent, attentive and friendly. It does get very busy with large groups sometimes, but they look after everyone. Sometimes people have to be patient, we have never had an issue. Keep up the great work.

I am a sushi lover and this place most definitely delivered! Their sushi is beyond fresh and presented well. This is the best sushi in the Macomb area; there are times I want to order carry-out because I crave it. My friend and I ordered a side of fried rice with a side of YUM YUM sauce; it was amazing!The place is very well-decorated, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was beyond nice and helpful with any questions we had. She even engaged in a good conversation with us. That showed she cared and wanted to ensure our experience was amazing. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to individuals. Next time, I would like to try the hibachi.

We came to Ichiban as a party of 13 for my sister's high school graduation. There was 2 grills so some family that was allergic to shellfish sat on the other side. They were very accommodating. They were going to seat 4 people at the table that can't have shellfish but we explained that nothing could be cooked on the grill in front of him. They said that was fine and did not add anyone to the table.The chef was super fun. He made a lot of funny jokes and used funny items while cooking. For example he used a little chicken attachment to break the egg. He had amazing customer service skills. All of the food was cooked perfectly. He even gave us the extra sauce wr had requested. Everyone had such a great time together. The servers did come check on us to refill drinks as well. Overall, this place is a great experience to come out with your family or friends. It is definitely worth a try.

I didn't find that this lived up to the high ratings on Yelp. The food was bland in my opinion, & the veggies were over cooked & lacked flavor. Service was amazing, absolutely phenomenal. The chefs, & the staff all super nice. The vibe inside was old, & dated. They overall the service is what stood out. 2 stars just for that reason. Otherwise it'd be zero .
