Huddle Soft Serve

This is the cutest place in Downtown Detroit for a sweet treat! They have amazing ice cream and a great range of toppings. My all time favorite is the chocolate and vanilla twist in a cone with sprinkles! Truly so yummy on a hot (or cold) day.

I'd walked by this soft serve window many times and we finally got a chance to try it after the Lions/Steelers preseason game recently. The menu is small, with chocolate, vanilla, and twist soft serve, some options for toppings/chocolate dip, and some floats.There was no line when we walked up and they are super fast getting the ice cream. We got a twist in a cone and added Oreo (+$1). There is some seating in the alleyway so we sat down to share our cup.The soft serve is... good. Honestly I guess I was expecting something mind-blowing based on the reviews, but it was just kind of basic. Not bad by any means! I definitely wouldn't get the Oreo again, it was literally just cookie dust and not worth an extra dollar.I'm glad we got to try it, and it was a nice treat on a hot day! Plus I think it's just fun to have this type of option right downtown for a quick ice cream stop.

I've been watching Huddle for YEARS, but had been unable to make it by because either I was going somewhere else on a time crunch or they were closed. But last week I parked around the corner here to pick up some take out and I finally made it over. Worth the wait! As others have said, this is a no frills ice cream walk up and it's all presented in a sign next to the booth. There was a pretty good sized line when I got there but by streamlining the menu it means the line moves quickly. There are but three choices: vanilla, chocolate, and twist, served in your choice of cup or cone (sugar or waffle) . There are also a few topping options like sprinkles, chocolate chips, sea salt, plus chocolate and cherry dips. In addition to the soft serve they also have a a few floats with pop choices like Coke, Rock n' Rye, root beer, and Vernors. And that's it! I personally went with a standard sugar cone, twist, dipped in chocolate and sea salt. It was SO good! The only thing is next time I would personally ask for light sea salt bc they put on quite a bit and I wanted more of that chocolate flavor to come out from the dip. But either way? Awesome. If you find yourself around there, make a plan to stop and treat yourself to a nice cup or cone of some of the finest soft serve around. And don't be intimidated by the line, it moves fast!

Huddle is a super cute walk-by soft serve spot. The worker was nice and fast at getting us our treats. They also had free soft serve for whoever's name it was that day, and it was our friend's name which was super fun haha. I've been to Huddle before and was disappointed but decided to give it another shot and it's still just not for me. The soft serve lacks a lot of flavor, I could barely taste the chocolate. And I'm unsure if it was the shell or soft serve that gave a really gummy feel in my mouth and throat. My friends enjoyed the spot though! I think if you're looking for flavor in your soft serve though, this is not the place I'd recommend.

The creamiest, tastiest soft serve ever! I was so full from dinner but was craving some ice cream so I got a kids cone. It was still a very generous portion. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a decadent treat

Love coming to this place. Great ice cream and the staff is always so friendly. I love looking to see which name is on the board to get a free cone!

I'M OBSESSED. I don't typically love soft serve but trying huddle changed my mind! I love how creamy it is and the vanilla is the perfect amount of sweetness. I also got a side of oreo dust for free to dip my ice cream in which made it even better. It's the perfect quick pick me up in Detroit!

A quick stop ice cream shop with the most creamiest & thick soft serve. They only have a few options to choose from (chocolate, vanilla, twist) and several toppings to choose from. They give you a lot of ice cream so be prepared! The only thing that I wish the ice cream had was more flavor. I couldn't really taste the vanilla or chocolate in the ice cream because it was overpowering with the creaminess.

There was a long line so we knew it would be good. The clerk (Rayanna?) was friendly and helpful! It was nice there were just a limited of choices of flavors of ice cream and lots of toppings. The choices are vanilla, chocolate, or twist. I got sea salt and Oreo on a twist cone. My son got a rootbeer float. I would probably not get sea salt again because I was so thirsty afterward. Ambiance: It was a perfect way to end the night on the town, eating our ice cream while checking out the downtown.

Full from lunch, I was enjoying an afternoon walk in the neighborhood when I came across this small ice cream outlet. The people in front of me ordered the soft serve from the window so I went with that as well. Oh my! I think this is possibly the best soft serve I've ever had. It was rich, luxurious, and velvety. I just wish I read the menu more carefully. I would have noted that in addition to a number of floats, chocolate and cherry dips are also available. I am very pro-chocolate dip. Next time. And there will be a next time. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and efficient.
