Great selection of beers here! Tried a few of the sours, which are my favorite. Service was good, food was good, but the noise level was really high because it was like a preschool with all the screaming kids in there. I get that the place is family-friendly, but - parents if you can't control your kids, please get a babysitter or go to ChuckECheese or stay home. Ffs. I'll be back - but it will definitely be after 8p on a school night.

We stopped in for a beer before heading to a dinner reservation. Beer selection was good! It was not very busy so I can't speak for the VIBE during high volume time or on the food. If we're on that side of town again we would probably go back!

I came here on a weekday evening and found this establishment to be a family friendly restaurant/pub with outside seating! We decided to sit outside and found our service was pretty quick and waiter was very attentive. However, the reason I'm giving 3/5 is due to the food. Think of the food at this restaurant as overpriced fast food. Seriously, it tasted exactly like a Burger King or Wendys chicken sandwich, and so did the burgers and fries. Now, it's not that I hate fast food, however when I go to a restaurant and pay $15 for a single meal I expect the quality and taste to be better than that of a cheap fast food place.Now, if you're coming here more the bar rather than the food, I'd absolutely recommend!! They have several different options of beer on tap- and by several I mean 30+! They also utilize a website on your phone which shows you how much is left in each keg for each beer- pretty nifty. OVERALL- very cute outdoor seating, nice staff, and incredible beer selection.. but the food is burger king quality at best.Note: there is not a parking lot however this location is partially in a neighborhood and there are enough spots on street to use.

Great service, solid location, and a pretty impressive beer selection. As a lover of sour beers, I was pleasantly surprised. Food was decent - I really enjoyed the jalepeno hush puppies and duck fat fries. Overall, we had a nice meal and would definitely go back when we're in the area.

The $8 Monday night burger deal is legit. They open at 4, got there at 5:45, hardly any one there. Maybe cause it's cold but then, wouldn't you want a burger and a beer? I don't actually drink beer anymore (not enough hours in the day to run it off), but they have a delightful cocktail menu, full bar, $5 Jameson shots, and the Mawby Sparkling, a Chardonnay, and a Pinot Noir on tap. That line up is completely serviceable to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. I had the Vodka Blueberry Lemonade that actually had Blue Curacao which I always thought I didn't like, but, in this drink, it was the right amount with the right other elements. Delish.I got the burger. It was great and came with cheddar cheese on it and fries. The fries had that weird knobby seasoning stuff that no one can explain to me but I'm from Texas and only curly fries have that sort of texture. I just want potatoes that have been cut and fried with salt. I don't know what the texture is and it scares me.They have compostable to go boxes which is nice. There are TVs there so beware of potential sports or enjoy potential sports! I planted my visit to be when no games were on and they were playing Transformers... That yellow slug bug turns into*that* Transformer? Sure, Hollywood...Bonus point for wooden bar and wooden stools (e.g. nice stuff not cheap metal stuff that is cold and makes your arms smell funny). I'll be back!

We love to share the flatbreads here! They have a unique hush puppy styled Elote corn bread ball on their appetizer menu currently and I think that's a very unique thing to have on the menu. They always have a amazing selections on tap, they always have the current sports games on the TV and the staff is amazing always!!! Ambiance is a nice low light vibe, cozy & modern!

Growing up in Rochester Hills during my high school years, Grosse Pointe was a mythical place of old money, German cars and kids who couldn't take a punch when they insulted you. It was only after college, when I started floating through what actually was GP (mainly cause I was dating a lass from these here parts) and discovered so many amazing places that I love to this day (sadly, you will have to wait for future reviews as I will not be revealing these now). Howlers and Growlers was not one of these places, not because I don't love it here, but because it didn't exist. I have been here many times over the last few years as I still have friends that live in the area, and I have had a great time every single time.This spot is a craft beer lovers delight as they have around 35-40 beers available at any given time. Also they have a fantastic kitchen who has to disappoint. At my most recent visit I had fish tacos with a Cajun flair. It was light, crispy and perfectly spiced to warm up my tummy and bring a light glisten of sweat on this giant bald head of mine.As always, the service was nothing short of spectacular. The bartender is knowledgeable and well versed on the types of beers as well as each specific brand.It's a very straightforward place, with a few TV's to watch a game but the real attraction is the beers. 3 stars for large selection of draft beers. The food overall, disappointing. Started with pretzel and add on cheese...not worth adding cheese. Duck fries didn't realize they drizzled with honey...would have preferred no honey. The pulled pork over nac and cheese, underwhelming. The falafel was weird, inside too paste consistency and tasted odd. Overall, looking for various draft beers, go...looking for food, go somewhere elsr.

This place is fantastic, wonderful for children (they have coloring books, crayons, high chairs, boosters, a children's menu). The food is v good and obv there are many beer options. Me and my husband got a stout growler, lasted a long time, and was delicious. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger and the mushrooms appeared to be fresh. We also got the cheddar and jalapeño hush puppies, they were not spicy for those afraid of jalapeño but they were v good, even the next day when cold. They were cornmeal based which added some great texture. Highly recommend.
