Still looking for an American Chinese restaurant near me. While it isn't much to look at from the outside and inside the place is dated, the menu is what you expect. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice and an egg roll. I was happy to learn that they didn't add those peas and carrots to it like too many places do. I didn't ask for the sauce to be on the side since other places normally do that anyway for take out, but not here. When I got home, I found it all over the shrimp which made it hard to reheat it the next day liked I planned. It was what expected in taste and quality. But the egg roll was awful. I might try again and asked for the sauce on the side. I just will not order the special that includes the egg roll.

I came on December 25, 2019 and the waitress had a negative attitude towards me because i told her i brought 7 carloads of customers so she'll make some nice tips, due to another restaurant i visited before coming here was slammed with customers and a long line out the door. she said she was the only employee working that night. We all know chinese restaurants are going to be slammed since they are the only ones open on Christmas they should of hired more help. During lunch they have a additional charge of $2.75 if you want eggroll, soup, fortune cookies added to your meal. I suggest you order dinner instead you get more for your money and you don't have the $2.75 fee because the food is included in the dinner price.I had to use the restroom, I am disabled and use a walker to get around. their restroom doors are so small you can't even get 1/2 of my walker in the bathroom. i had to leave it in the hallway and risk to use the restroom hoping i don't fall, what made it worse is they had no toilet hand grab bars so i can properly sit down/stand up, getting up was a real challenge, I was considering on calling 9-1-1 for help and i was really tired/weak getting off the toilet. This restaurant is NOT RECOMMENDED for the disabled. The meal I had for dinner: #21 General Tso's Chicken mild spice comes with chicken fried rice, vegetables and a free sample of 3 pieces of orange chicken (orange chicken freebie is offered on all dinners). on the side i purchase Coca-Cola and order of pan-fried dumplings, All the food was hot and delicious and the beverages ice cold. My meal cost $18.75 +Tip.COVID-19 GUIDELINES - There were signs on the floor spaced 6 feet apart near cash register. It has been a while since ordering from House of Lee. This was once our go-to American Chinese restaurant. Boy, has it changed. We ordered the Almond Chicken (tasteless), General Tao (no heat and very salty) and Curry Chicken (again, no heat and was bland). Very disappointed in the quality of the dishes ordered.

Stopped in here for takeout and was impressed. Very unassuming, old school Chinese food. If there was a picture of orange chicken in the dictionary, it would be theirs. Very well prepared with fresh ingredients. Sauce was well balanced, not too sweet and not too tangy. Generous portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Don't be turned off by the tired looking location. This place is the real deal!

House of lee is a hidden gem!!! $7 dollar buffet!!! Great general tso's chicken. The staff is really friendly and the decor reminds me of an old school Chinese restaurant.... probably because that is what it is! 5 stars because the value the food is nothing that will blow you away but it is very tasty!!

Don't be scared away by the interior! It's extremely dated in there, but they had the best almond chicken I've ever had! I really enjoyed how a combo plate came with soup (wonton or egg drop), dinner rolls, fried rice, eggroll, the entree you chose AND a few pieces of sweet and sour chicken. Only reason for 3 stars is I wasn't impressed by the fried rice or eggrolls but everything else was very good!

Hostess was rude when we called, she was rude when we stepped in (not even acknowledging our existence), and she was ready to serve us a plate of attitude when she approached us unenthusiastically. The food is ethnically good and the place looks aesthetically pleasing, if you're okay with being treated like garbage. However, the plastic cups you get for the tea smell like cleaning products... They should probably fix that.

House of Lee serves American Chinese food. We got the beef broccoli and orange chicken and crab Rangoon. We got plenty of both. The beef broccoli had an even amount of both beef and broccoli and just the right amount of sauce. The orange chicken was the same. Plus the chicken had minimal breading, which I loved. The rangoons had a very nice crab flavor. Yum. Yes. We're going back!
