It's hard to review a Chinese restaurant as everyone has a different take on what the food is supposed to taste like. However, the food was fresh and delicious. I got the Almond Chicken with beef fried rice. The chicken was crispy, moist, seasoned great and did not taste like dirty oil, and the gravy was homemade. The beef fried rice was fried but not dry, tasted of beef with lots of chunks and had lots of bean sprouts. The egg roll was huge, full of bean sprouts and again, did not taste of dirty oil, also came with homemade plum sauce and not the cheap duck sauce packets. I would have knocked them a half star for high prices but you get what you pay for so 5 it is.

The quality of the food has gone way down and the price has gone way up. I ordered one sweet and sour pork and one sesame chicken dinner. The pork was ok - big chunks of pork and decent sauce. The chicken was horrible - bland sauce, starchy, and more gristle than meat. I ate half of the pork, my wife ate 2 bites of the chicken, and we threw the rest away. The biggest kick in the junk was the price. I paid close to $35 for this garbage. It's a shame because this place used to be good. An even bigger shame is that there are NO good Chinese restaurants left in the downriver area.

Wasn't impressed with Almond Chicken the first time we tried it a while ago after the restaurant changed hands, but the eggrolls were much bigger and tasted great. Fastforward to earlier this week, tried the restaurant again, the Almond Chicken was great as was the fried rice, quite similar to previous owners' recipe. Eggrolls still huge and delicious. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. Definitely putting Ho's back into my restaurant rotation.

Good soups and good for for the price. The chicken w/broccoli was tasty, white sauce. The lo mein was dark and yummy. The soups both were good. Egg drop and wonton. Wonton had a ton of veggies

Sweet and sour chicken was great! Egg roll was good but different can't pinpoint out what was unique about them, still chowed down. The rice, is it rice? I wasn't sure it almost tasted like Couscous. Super plain, no sprouts, egg, peas nothing. We ordered the bbq pork fried rice. Both the chicken fried rice and bbq pork were much different than what we are used to as far as Chinese fried rice. Still have to say lims garden for egg rolls and fried rice, but Ho's sweet n sour chicken is better.

It was my first time trying this place out, and I thought the food was very good with good portions. The egg rolls are fat and stuffed. It's strictly a carry out place as there is no seating in the place. I would recommend this place if your looking for some quality Chinese food with good portions in a hurry.

Today was my first time, so I got a large order of shrimp fried rice, because I'd been craving it and I thought it would be a safe dish. I was so disappointed. There was NO flavor, and it tasted watery, which was strange. Not wanting to totally waste it, I warmed some up this evening, thinking using some bacon grease as the "oil" and throwing in some soy sauce would help. Not. It would be nice if they kept a menu on the counter. There wasn't one in sight. Yes, I knew what I wanted but having a menu out is essential, I think. The closest thing to a menu, is the permanent signage above the window, of each day's special.I won't be returning.
