we decided to try honest john's because of the multiple vegan breakfast options. vegan breakfast can be hard to come by so when a place has a vegan option that isn't avocado toast it's a must try. the food was good. i got the vegan scramble and half order of french toast. my partner got the vegan breakfast sandwich. the scramble came with toast and potatoes so it was a lot of food. the scramble was pretty good - peppers, onions, cheese. i find fake egg can be a little runny if not cooked long enough and this scramble was definitely on the soft side. the potatoes were very delicious - crispy and seasoned well. the texas toast was fluffy but there is no vegan butter on it so it would be dry without putting the scramble on it. the breakfast sandwich was good but needed a little more flavor. maybe a sauce or something would have taken it to the next level. the french toast was crispy which is hard to do with just egg. we loved it. i don't drink coffee but my mom and my partner wanted me to write in my review how amazing the coffee was. our server told us it was from james oliver coffee co down the street. i enjoyed the ambiance of the place - big wood booths, dim lighting, and some tasteful graffiti.

Came here before the Green Day show and loved it! They have fun drinks and it's a dive bar feel but isn't a dive bar imo. Loved all the neon signs and our server was attentive and friendly.I ordered the impossible and my husband the impossible Reuben but they had one patty left so he got it and I did my burger with black bean. We got curly fries as well and frozen mimosas.Overall everything was so delicious! Love all the vegan and vegetarian options.

Stopped here to have breakfast for dinner the other night! The space is super cute and I loved all of the neon signs and decor, bathroom is COVERED in graffiti so bring a Sharpie if you're into that lol. I thought everything was pretty reasonably priced. My french toast was tasty, and they give you a solid amount of bacon. My boyfriend got the fish and chips and he wasn't super amazed by them, they're pretty thick pieces of fish but most of it is breading. Service was fast and friendly.

Went for Sunday breakfast before heading out of town ended up staying for awhile because the atmosphere was amazing! The bar was full of folkslaughing and chatting over some delicious looking food. Our server Jeff was absolutely top notch. Make sure if he's your server ask about his Grandma Gloria. His energy personality and overall service was 110% he made our day and gave great food and drink recommendations. Definitely ask him to make you the Fromo(frozen mimosa) the way he likes it.

A great dive bar to head to after dinner or before/after a game...good bar food and good pours on drinks. They have plenty of space if you want to stop by with a group, which is what we did. I love the neon signs.

We finally tried Honest John's Bar & Grill for brunch. We arrived around 9am and were seated right away. The decor is hipster divey. The menu is vast with a great cocktail menu available. He opted for the chicken & waffles - delicious, I chose the chicken biscuit- perfect portion for my appetite. Honest John's was an overall great experience- we will definitely be back!

We stopped here after a work event in the area. There are plenty of big tables and booths, so that worked well for the groups. It's got a cool vibe inside, industrial meets bar decor. Our server came over quick and let us know what they were out of, and was very attentive. The menu has plenty of choices for everyone, both breakfast and lunch choices, without being overwhelming. Our food came out pretty quickly as soon as it was ready, and was very tasty. While there are plenty of options in the area, this is a good one if the menu tickles your fancy.

You come here for the vibes and drinks, not the food. I've been here several times and I can safely say that if you can't cook, but want to eat a lot of food at a decent price, come here. It is very unpretentious. I would say a majority of their food is pre-prepared from a food distributor and the cooks in the back heat it up. It does the trick to scratch that itch.The biscuits and gravy tasted the same as what you get from the free continental breakfasts served at hotels. The gravy tasted like it came out from a can, with no additional twists or flair. Ditto about the biscuits-they definitely don't make these in house. (Then again, they don't make any claims to be the best food or anything like that).The curly fries are generous. One could make an entire meal of curly fries. They were cooked just right with a good crunch on the outsides and fluffy insides. Of course, it's obvious it came straight from a frozen bag, but that's not bad per se. As a side note, there's a lot of people who come here after they finish work in the nearby hospitals, so if you want to try to pick someone up in the medical field, try your luck here.
