Good food at a fair price. For our first meal here we ended up getting the Margarita pizza and Greek salad with gratis house bread sticks. The Margarita pizza was well baked with the thin crust nicely browned all over. The tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese and Basil toppings complemented each other very nicely and made for a vary flavorful pizza. The one small gripe I had is that the pizza could have used a bit more Basil as this is such a key ingredient for this style of pizza. Relative to the salad and bread sticks they were both quite good where a small salad was enough for me and wife to share. For drinks we ended up getting a Long Island ice tea and an Old Fashion with Woodford Reserve bourbon. The drinks were definately a tad on the stronger side, which I personally like, where the Old Fashion could have used just a tad bit more sweetness (syrup from cherry bottle always is good choice or simple syrup) to add a bit more balance to the drink. Having said that it was still a well made tasty drink.Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant has a large footprint with plenty of seating and a casual dining environment. The staff and in particular our waitress, was super friendly and very attentive to our needs where she personally added a lot to our dining experience. Definitely appears to be a strength of the business.Overall I was quite pleased with our first experience here where if you are looking for a good pizza that is a large step up from the many chain restaurants in the area than this is a place you should check out.

Previous to last night I would have said everyone should go to Highland House, but having went last night and not having drinkable water was awful. The server rudely told us he gets comments every night and didn't offer any explanation except "it's well water and I drink it." The water smelled like sulfur so badly I couldn't keep it at the table let alone have it near my nose to drink. I asked about it as we left and the hostess said she brings her own water from home and that they have a Britta in the back for water for servers. I can't conceive a restaurant not having drinkable water. The friends we were with said it likely indicates a problem with their well. The hostess also indicated to me it is getting worse. This needs to be fixed.

Despite how noisy the restaurant can be (high ceilings with hard surfaces) it doesn't take away from the family-friendly atmosphere. This isn't a quiet, romantic place to eat...definitely need to speak up to be heard but that's okay. The food here is excellent. We started with drinks and an appetizer and ordered mains each. They serve a ton of food so consider sharing a dish or prepare to take some leftovers with you. Our server (Monika) was on top of everything. We waited 40 minutes to be seated but she got our order in quickly and we hardly waited any time to eat. She's a star!I had a Pink Mule - New Amsterdam Pink Whitney vodka, Select Aperitivo, Fresh Stawberries, Lime juice and Ginger beer. You can taste a hint of the strawberries under the ginger beer - very refreshing! We shared the Panko Encrusted Feta, which has a honey drizzle that really adds to the flavors of the panko and feta. I love this appetizer!I had the Chicken Spanokopita (chicken breast stuffed with spinach and feta on top of rice pilaf with green beans. This is a gluten free option and it is excellent. It came with a nearly full size Caesar Salad too! I highly recommend this chicken dish! The entire meal came with a basket of their breadsticks and they are well known for these. We took half of everything home so we'll have dinner tomorrow covered now. If you are in the area or would like to make a special trip, it's with it!

Love it here, best date spot in Highland! the prices are amazing, and food quality is great. They don't take reservations so be willing to wait a bit. We get the shrimp and scallop provencal. Comes with a huge basket of bread and almost full size salad. We split the pasta and still take leftovers, and we never split entrees at other restaurants! The calamari is amazing also, it's steak slices instead of the chewy rings. Super good with feta and peppers. We come here at least once a month!

We had a 4:00 pm reservation for 11 for our dad's birthday. We were seated immediately and greeted by the server for drink orders right away. Our parents had the day wrong and ended up showing up 1 1/2 hours later. We felt awful taking a table for so long, but our server Monica was amazingly patient and kept our drink orders flowing. The food was very good and plentiful. Most of us left with takeout containers. We used to visit the Highland House many years ago, the building and atmosphere is welcoming and clean.

I went into the evening thinking this was going to be an amazing experience and it was more of a "Meh..." so let me elaborate. Highland House, when I was a child, was THE place to eat in the area. We went with cousins and I have many memories of great meals there. I haven't eaten there since I was a child so I assumed that it was still great. We had take-out. This was supposed to be our Valentine's Day meal since we were both out of town on the 14th. We ordered two of the Kale Salad one with blackened salmon and the other with chicken. The salads were only okay. The kale was tough as nails and needn't have been. If it had been soaked it would have been tender. The salmon was very tasty. The Cauliflower Steak was served on uncooked - not kidding - lentils. I love lentils. Not these. It was a disaster. At this point I wouldn't darken the door of Highland House if I were paid to return. But, that's me. I'm so bummed.

We had fish today. She had perch (6-8 pcs) & I had the beer battered cod (3 pcs). I liked my flaky fish however the batter wasn't as crispy as I like & didn't want to stick to the fish. The perch was pan fried, crispy & tasty. Salad, bread sticks & cheese spread were very enjoyable. Meals were very big & filling for our senior appetites. The servers are attentive & the newly built building flows so much better & feels more inviting. This place does well & attracts most everyone in the area.
