This guy knows what's up, one of a kind gentleman, helping out the working man. 5 star, knowledgeable, respectful, and speedy curb side pick up. We're repeat customers for sure.

This is wonderful shop that has been here a long time. It's so nice entering a spot with character as opposed to a franchise like Wild Bills. This store is a 60's head shop. Old school. All the paraphernalia you could want and other items, collectibles. It's worth a trip across town, or county.

I had the chance to come in here a few weeks ago thanks to jury duty in the area and was hoping there was still a kitty in residence like I remembered from years ago. While there is no longer a cat at Heads Up, I still love this small store and the owner is super cool and knowledgeable. If you stop in here, check out the store next door too, Alleycat Junktiques... which has everything "old, weird and rusty." Both stores, with their unique items and personable owners are a nice break from the massive chain stores we're all so used to.

Generally speaking, I wouldn't review a place like this. With a head shop, the people who need to know about it know about it and the people who don't, don't. It's not like many folks are gonna stroll in off the street and buy a glass piece.I don't live in Michigan anymore. I was visiting and needed to pick up something small and cheap. My experience with this sort of establishment isn't vast, but I'd like to think I know my stuff. If I did live in Michigan, this is the place I would frequent. The fella who was running the joint (judging from the other review I'll wager it's the owner Steve) was excellent. He was very friendly, chatty, and had a nice setup inside. His product ranged from bargain bin cheapy all the way to top of the line and he was knowledgeable about all of it.I know a lot of people think of head shops as the scourge of society, especially an old school one in what seems to be the "new downtown" of Mount Clemens. This is a small business you should be proud to have in your town. With good prices, smart staff, a great ambiance, and a history in the community, Heads Up is a winner for me.

Way way more than just a "head shop", give yourself plenty of time to browse! Tons of posters and kitsch that will take you right back to the 70's! Super friendly people!

I wish they would sell better quality items and more unique or original items instead of what's seems like wholesale junk but it's a family business and they're always informative and fair. I believe they mark their prices high and give almost everyone a few bucks off as part of their sales strategy but can't blame them for trying to make a dime. I'll support over other similar places and love that it's in The Clem.
