Harbor House

This was my first time here with my wife, her first as well. My mother talked about going to Harbor House when she was pregnant with me 40 years ago and having the same all you can eat crab! On the food, it was excellent! 3 out of 4 of us got the AYCE Crab Legs and they didn't not disappoint! We all had 4-6 rounds of 2 or 3 cluster each. Never had to wait to ask for more, they just kept bringing them out at the perfect time! My wife got the AYCE but no crab as she allergic to shellfish. She started with the fresh perch and it was awesome! A crisp, light breading that was golden brown! Her second dish was the ribs! The sauce was a little sweet for her liking but still good! The service was a little slow at first but this was due to a very large party that was just getting served when we arrived. Would definitely go back!!!!

The place looks a bit dated, I won't lie, but the food and service made up for that.I did the $65 AYCE Crablegs. I made a salad at the salad bar and all of it tasted fresh. It was clean and all the items on the salad bar were well stocked. I ordered a baked potato to go with my crablegs, but I was not there to eat potato, I was all about the crab. I ate a bit of the potato and it was a potato. lolThe crab! The crab was very clean, sweet, and the shells cleaned easily. The server kept the crab coming! It was so good. Towards the end of my meal I decided to try out an order of london broil. It was 3 pieces that were the perfect sampling size. For $65 I felt like I more than got our monies worth.

I've driven by this place place a countless number of times and only now have bucked up and actually tried it...The interior is a little dated, but the murals are super cool and everything looked really nice and clean.Our server was AMAZING and explained the menu... Do me a favor and just get the all you can eat crab. You'll get all the crab legs you want AND anything else on the all you can eat menu AND unlimited trips to the salad bar.I ordered a combo of the 12oz strip and 1 crab cluster and I added a cluster and that came with one trip to the salad bar... I ordered my steak medium rare and it was a bit undercooked. I've seen others complain about this, so just order medium if you want medium rare I guess? The steak itself was really good, and the crab was great! Everything was hot and presented well. No complaints other than the temp of my steak.My wife got the AUCE crab and only sampled the London Broil other than the crab and it was great!Our server brought out multiple plates of crab without asking and was super attentive. The salad bar was clean and everything looked/tasted fresh, and I usually hate salad bars, but this was actually really nice. I saw them replenish multiple items multiple times, so I felt like everything was in order.Bar service was quick, out server was amazing and the food was outstanding! Maybe a little expensive depending on the day.. AUCE crab was $65, but well worth it in my opinion and I regret not getting that so I could try a little of everything.I can't understand the low ratings of others... Harbor House is AMAZING!

Man, this place is a Clinton Township institution and has been around forever. Still looks the same as it did in the 90s and it's a great deal.

When you walk in the decor is very cool. The mural throughout the restaurant is gorgeous. It definitely makes you feel "under the sea." Jessica our server is wonderful. The wait staff work extremely hard running food out to tables since it's all you can eat. They do a great job at making sure there's always food on our plate. We normally get all you can eat, but their dinner specials are cheap and great too. I love the salmon, London broil, crab, and lobster. They have really good frog legs too. The salad bar is clean and has a nice selection of soups and "hot items". They have a great bar and make a lot of good specialty drinks. My daughter loves that they give her ice cream after dinner too.

Five of us dined at Harbor House. I think three will return and two won't. I am one of the two who will not. The server was very friendly but had not been fully trained. He did not know how to open a bottle of wine among other things. Three of us ordered the salmon with a special sauce and baked potato. The baked potatoes were hard due to not being fully cooked and the toppings we ordered were missing. The salmon was not even warm and had the wrong sauce. Two people ordered the prime rib and said it was very good. It also looked good and I wish I had ordered that instead of the salmon. We all liked the bread. A couple hummers were ordered for after dinner drinks and they were exceptional.

We went here recently 01/07/24 for my birthday and everything was perfect! They have a really great all you can eat deal for 35 bucks! The service was wonderful! Joe our waiter definitely earned his tip. He was very professional and polite and funny. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we really enjoyed taking pictures underneath the giant swordfish. I will be coming back forsure. Definitely a birthday to remember. Thanks Harbor House!

The food was good. Service was a bit lacking. Server smelled of cigarettes every time they were at the table. Restaurant was clean. Nice salad bar.

Love going to this place the first time was 34 years ago and I'm still going. It's been redecorated, but the owners are the same. I met their mom and the two brothers who now run the place. Of course it was a lot cheaper back then, the menu hasn't changed much. I don't like the downtown location. It's about 30 minutes from my house but it's worth the drive to me. They could use an upgrade in the restrooms though looks like it hasn't been touched in a while. They're clean but that's about it. The waiters are always nice and polite. And very attentive.

I haven't been here in since I was a kid but I saw a Tik Tok about the AYCE crab legs and it looked decent so we went. Our server was Jessica and she was attentive, nice and kept the crab coming. We never had to ask for her to bring more. She would just keep bringing it out. I can imagine that if it was a busier evening you may have to wait but I don't know for sure. You can also switch what you want from order to order. If you don't want crab after a few rounds you can get shrimp, ribs, chicken or fish prepared various ways since they're included in the AYCE. It's decent crab. Not great but for AYCE it was good. The salad bar was clean and fresh and had a few soups. They bring fresh bread which was really tasty. I had some shrimp scampi along with my crab which was decent. My husband had a burger and said it was good. My teens are big seafood lovers so for $55 they can eat all they want and it's good deal. We'll be back.
