It's been an awhile since I've had a bite to eat at - any - Coney Island... Service was excellent and MY meal was top-notch... (2 teen daughters w/me & they each had chicken tenders w/French fries)Their chicken club sandwich was the best chicken club - ever...! Marinated chicken roasted to perfection, strips of bacon evenly cooked, crispy lettuce, perfect tomato, Swiss cheese melted evenly... It was a 1st class chicken club sandwich...! Worth $9.75 and I brought half of it for lunch the next day...Their Caesar salad was awesome...! Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, crispy greens, and perfect nuggets of croutons... Worth $4.75 and I brought half of it for lunch the next day...

Worst salad of my life. The lettuce was decaying on my plate and they said it's because they keep it in water. I definitely would not come back here for a salad. Idk how the other food was but the salad is foul. Disgrace to Greek salads everywhere. I'm convinced they're only still in business bc they're across from the court and unsuspecting travelers go here. Do not order a salad from this place it will be half rotten when you get it

Any decent sized Michigan city (well, southern Michigan at least) needs a trademark Coney Island and Gus' Mt. Clemens Coney Island does an admirable job in Bath City. (The story behind that moniker is for another review, as is the mystery of why the Chesterfield Township Gus' has no geographical designation in it's name.) I've never been in this Coney when it's packed, so I can't speak to service at peak times but I've never had an issue during slow to moderate business. I bet it's fun people watching during lunch, what with Gus' spot right across the street from the courthouse and city offices. GMCCI cooks up a tasty Burger and breakfast served all day. The Coneys are Coneys. It's the type of dish that almost never rises to greatness, but is also pretty hard to completely f*ck up. At any rate, I'll take Duly's down in southwest Detroit for the win but the Gus Coney is solid. The fish and chips were pretty meh when I tried them. Behind it's perch on the maybe the only block in Macomb County that almost feels urban, for me the distinctive trait of Gus is the fanboy fantastic decor. On the pale salmony orange walls you'll find Marvel and DC paintings galore, and all for sale! There's a smattering of Star Wars and a single Night King holding it down for Game of Thrones, too, as well as 3 or 4 random pieces of sports memorabilia, but it's mainly Superhero City in this Coney. It's one artist who painted the bulk of it, too, and sorry I didn't take down his name, but for what Yelp pays us writers waddaya want? They could use more X-Men and Wolverine specifically, but maybe some Coney eaters bought a bunch of it up. Beyond that, though, there's an impressive array of characters, major and minor, some of whom even have dedicated sections. How can you not smile at a hand cut Deadpool wearing a sombrero head up on the wall? One last thing, you can enter or exit from either side of the building just like American and Lafayette Coney Islands downtown in the D. And there's a borderline vulgar anthropomorphic Coney on the outside by the back door.

This is my favorite coney spot in Michigan.... The Chili Cheese fries are the Best I've ever had. I've been eating here for over 20 years and can honestly say I've only had a bad experience maybe twice and they made it right. I'll go here as long as they open...

Finally!!! We found "OUR" Coney Island. I was weary at first based on reviews.. I finally said screw it, I live 2 blocks away.. I should form my own opinion. Our order consisted of a gyro sandwich w/ feta and gyro only, Hani with chicken and cheese only (breaded), chili fries and a coney dog. All it took was one bite into the gyro to immediately drop my food and call the restaurant. I spoke with Lisa and HAD to tell her, I can't wait to see her smiling face again! The food was amazing!!! Would definitely recommend.

Very mediocre food and service.Only came here on a Sunday evening because the other two places we attempted to go to were closed, and with two hungry kids in the car, we had to stop somewhere and I figured a Coney place would fit the bill.Yeah, a $33 bill for three people for underwhelming food and service. Skimpy portions, limp fries, and a server who forgot we existed once the food was served. Won't be back.

100% recommend. The food is fantastic, as a whole this local small business stepped to help support kids in the foster care community by helping to provide a fun, hot lunch to over 300 kids for a Back to School event held by Macomb Foster Closet. Everyone raved about the hot dogs, the staff was kind and very generous helping the kids and families in the foster community. Stop by and support this great small business, you won't be disappointed.
