My husband and I like to do this thing sometimes where we go out bar hopping in the city and we have an appetizer and drinks at each place. We did this a couple of weeks back and this was our first stop. We ordered the Beer Battered French Fries with sliced scallions, chimichurri aioli and honey mustard and my god it was good. I'm not very adventurous, so the chimichurri aioli was really stepping out of my comfort zone, but it was delicious. I did ask for it on the side but then I think I asked for more of it. The fries were crisp and so filling, we didn't even order food anywhere else we went that night! The staff was kind and courteous, as well.

A friend had recommended this place during a recent dinner so I was curious to try it. After class recently, I was tired, hungry, and eager to have a bite here. I came in with high expectations because of the recommendation and because this brewpub is an institution. It has been around for as long as I can remember.During the summer (for the last few years at least), the streets have been closed to traffic and restaurants have been able to expand their footprint. On weekends during the summer, in the early afternoon, customers were happily enjoying drinks and eats with friends. I, however, chose to eat indoors to escape the heat. Inside, the atmosphere was dark and cool, a relief from the humidity outdoors.I went with the corn fritters to start. They were battered in beer, a bit overcooked, and served with sriracha crema. They were okay, nothing memorable. For my main, I had the walleye. The meal was massive including 3 big pieces of fish, fries, and slaw. The fish was a bit overcooked, and not as moist as it could be. The fries were also a disappointment, crispy definitely, but not tender on the inside. I ended up not being able to finish either item but also not taking home the leftovers. This, to me, was a sign that I wasn't happy with my meal. Not all was lost. The side salad between the app and the main was refreshing.Service was fine; the bartender was hopping, taking care of customers at the bar, but also helping out with the tables outside.

Really pleasant hearty patio lunch on a beautiful fall day! Got the Salmon BLT "handheld" with beer battered fries. Think I prefer the regular fries, which already seem to have a light crispy battering (or really, they might just be double fried). The beer battered fries were super tasty but extremely filling. Salmon was good, and especially liked the maple-y bacon and pickled onion with it. Washed down with their Steelhead Red, one of my favorites. It's malty but not too sweet, and very easy drinking!

Thomas Keller, probably America's most fancy pants chef, said "Burgers are proof that sometimes the simplest things are the most extraordinary." Burgers are the epitome of comfort food, combining juicy patties, melty cheese, and an array of delicious toppings. This is why I love the Grizzle! Solid unpretentious food in a pub setting. Great draft beer. Nice college town atmosphere. I'm not complaining but the only puzzle is....what are cheese curds doing on the menu? Are we in Michigan or Wisconsin? No idea why they are here, but they're delicious!

Food was great, service was fine but was very short with us. Idk what his problem was but he was bubbly with other tables.... We didn't wait for a table at lunch time. It was good, fresh and fast. Very large dining area that is separated in three sections. This helps keep the volume down because it does get loud in there. Outdoor seating is put away for the season, it seems. Solid lunch choice. Just be proactive with the server if need be.

First time in Ann Arbor and saw good reviews so decided to check out Grizzly Peak. Ambience was great here; beautiful restaurant with high backed booths. Service was good; our server was in training but did a great job. We ordered beer and pretzel stick appetizer. My beer was not poured correctly and had head the entire time I drank it, gross. The pretzel sticks were "warmed" in a microwave; they were not good at all. My daughter who LOVES pretzels didn't even eat more than one bite. For dinner, I ordered the meat-za pizza, my daughter did a kids pizza and my husband had a smash burger. The portion sizes were large; the kids pizza was the same size as mine, which generally is great except it would've been nice to know so we couldn't shared and saved $20. We are on vacation and can't keep the leftovers so it was a big waste. My pizza was OK but sauce was a bit blah and the toppings were disproportionate: there was no ricotta on half my pizza. My husband did enjoy his burger. Overall I was not impressed and would not return here.

Got there towards the end of a cold evening. Had a couple beers and a bowl of soup. All was good. Like the beer variety. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Good place to go have dinner, or a few beers-or both.

I can't even lie, when I first looked at the menu I expected to eat basic bar food. But, when I saw the food come out and tried my first bite, I realized I was wrong--this meal was unforgettable! I ordered the grilled salmon BLT, which features sushi grade salmon that is cooked to your liking, candied pepper bacon, and roasted garlic aioli. These toppings as well as a few more are placed between soft sourdough. I also got a side of bacon mac and cheese, which is made with cavatappi noodles. The white cheddar cheese sauce is light and the dish doesn't leave you with that "too full" feeling that some other Mac and cheeses do. The ambience was social and lively. We sat outside at a table on the patio. The nearby restaurants have outside seating as well and I think this would be a great date night spot. The service was pretty good too. The only issue we had is that we asked for straws multiple times before finally getting them.

What a gem, especially if you have pups. We were able to grab a seat outside with the doggos. The food was great(try the chicken sandwich) and staff were supper friendly. Best part, we were traveling with the pups and there is a dog specific menu with proceeds going to a humane society our pups split a burger and bacon bits!
