I have been here several times, when I had a close friend that lived in BHam and would only frequent BHam spots. It does have that local diner feel and most of the guests are from the neighborhood. Only been there for brunch and lunch. Standard coney fare. My usual was a Greek salad and a chicken gyro, which wasn't bad, but not as good as National to me. My friend would always get the same western omelet, which was okay. The service was quick and easy and as expected for a coney.

The employees are very friendly and they have a good number of things to choice. Coming at lunch can be a little crazy. Looks like they do a lot of take out... It was non stop food orders. I like the lay out of the restaurant it is old school. Reminds The chili dogs and fries is absolutely delicious

First visit here was amazing. We had heard about them on Facebook and decided to give the restaurant a try. Second visit yesterday very disappointing. I ordered the spinach pie meal to share with my daughter. She took the salad (which she did not enjoy) while I had planned on eating the spinach pie and rice. The rice was good but the spinach pie was awful. A very small piece for a meal plus the taste was bad. I had my daughter take a bite and we both agreed it tasted like tuna. Almost like a tuna melt was made on the grille and the grille not cleaned. To the restaurant's credit they did not charge for the spinach pie and came back to the table several times to see if I wanted something else which I declined. Rest of the food (loose coney, regular coney, fries and onion rings were good.

My favorite Coney Island restaurant. Clean, fast, good. Most of the time you can get in and out pretty fast so for me it's a perfect place to get quick lunch during work week or if you have little kids with short attention span. Their Greek Islands chicken salad is great- love the dressing and portion size! Mousaka is amazing! So are the wings.

First of all, please update your online menu to reflect current menu prices. It's extremely embarrassing when you go online to look at the price & it has a amount listed but when your friend gets to the restaurant to pick up your food the amount is much greater. The "greek special" Adding to update this place sucks. The Greek salad is a rip off.

One of the only Greek restaurants that serves Pastitsio outside of Detroit. They always try hard here. It's always super clean inside and lots of space. Service is usually fast and friendly. I always stick to coneys, salads and Pastisio. I love their rice and Greek tomato sauce. You really can't go wrong here. Nice family / coney / kind of Greek restaurant.

Been coming to this place for YEARS, and it is so familiar that I can't believe I have never reviewed it. It is a very low-key neighborhood eatery on the north side of downtown Birmingham, across a side street from the Paladium. The kind of place you just drop into on the spur of the moment when you are starving. There is never a wait for a table because they turn fast. The menu offers typical Coney Island fare, done very well. For you out of towners, a Coney Island is Detroit jargon for a very casual restaurant serving breakfast and lunch fare with a very strong Greek influence. They are somewhat comparable to Diners in New Jersey. The entymology of the name is a mystery, but probably has to do with the star of the menu--hot dogs covered in beanless chili, dressed with raw onions and yellow mustard. Kinda like Nathan's and the annual hot dog eating contest on Coney Island? They are delicious, plain and simple. If you go, it is mandatory that you have one. Other great menu items are the fries, the greek salad, the lemon rice soup, the greek salad with chicken, the gyro, and the pastichio. This place is super casual and chill. It is the opposite of fancy. And it serves very authentic Detroit coney island cuisine. Prices are cheap. You gotta go!!

Very disappointed in the gyros. The meat was thick. The place was filthy and even the plates. First and last time.
