Great Harvest Bread

This place is very expensive and the bread is okay, not great. A loaf of the Cheddar Garlic Bread is $10.95 and it doesn't have a ton of cheddar nor does it have a strong garlic flavor. I've found better cheese bread for less at Holiday Market in Canton and East Detroit Bakery on the other side of town in Eastpointe has some of the best cheese jalapeño bread in the metro area. Even Zingermann's in Ann Arbor, although expensive, offers better artisanal quality bread for around the same price. After buying such an expensive loaf here, it motivated me to bake my own cheese bread at home which turned out more delicious and at only a fraction of the price.

The gentleman who greeted me in your store this morning was nothing short of spectacular. A smile on is face, a warm greeting, and about my age. Please have him read this review and tell him that Ricky Ricardo sends him his best.You guys are awesome and an institution in Northville. MY gold standard...all the way through to the people you hire!

Purchased the sourdough and cinnamon swirl and both were delicious. The sourdough is really good toasted. The cinnamon swirl is full of cinnamon and brown sugar! So so so good! There are 4-6 15-minute designated parking spots in the back lot.

I was enjoying a beautiful day in downtown Northville when I wandered into this bakery. It had been a few years since my last visit. Previously, I was disappointed with the quality of the Cheddar Garlic bread and started to use my bread machine more frequently - especially during COVID.The bakery is huge. Along one side, Peet's coffee, sandwiches, and salads are served. Perpendicular to it, there are shelves loaded with a variety of bread. The location also sells cookies and muffins.As a huge fan of apple pies, in general, I was intrigued by the apple pie bread. In addition, I will always pick up a pepperoni roll, whenever it is available. Since it was after lunch and I still had not had anything all day, I dove into my purchases as soon as I exited. I took advantage of one of the empty patio tables under the eye-catching purple awning for an impromptu outdoor meal. The cheese had burst out of the mitten-shaped roll, still warm from the oven. I enjoyed the slight spiciness of the pepperoni and nuttiness of the cheese, as well as the soft, chewy bread. It was such a nice snack, in the cool afternoon sunshine.Later on in the evening, I sampled the apple pie bread. The loaf was filled with a ton of softened apples with gooey cinnamon. Immediately, I texted photos to my apple-pie loving family - it was that good. Correction: It was that spectacular. After a piece (okay, three), I froze the rest of the bread so that it would not be a temptation the rest of the evening.Service was friendly.Note: According to a staffer, fresh bread is only available on weekdays. Day-old bread is available on Saturdays, so plan accordingly.

If it's the season, drive here simply for the $10 apple pie bread! It's insane- like just amazing and I have no idea how they make it turn out like this.'! (See pic). Literally like apple pie inside of the bread. I also love the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and pepperoni bread and spinach/feta cheese bread but the apple bread is crazy good.

Honestly was a little disappointed by the quality of the sourdough. Was t quite up to my expectations as a home baker. The staff does not seem to be hardcore bread people like I have seen in bakeries before. Ambiance is very cozy and cute.

The only thing I've had from here is the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and it is delicious. I wanted to try a chicken salad sandwich but they were out of them in the deli case. I'll order that the next time.

Came here on a whim with a friend on a weekday morning and it was by far our best decision. The staff was beyond helpful with making recommendations, showing us all the best baked goods and coffee options we could hope for. Although they didn't have croissants, we were able to get coffee, a fresh bagel, a traverse city cherry muffin and cinnamon rolls.The staff was more than accommodating, they were downright amazing. Genuine people who can provide great service! I got an iced coffee with pumpkin pie flavoring but my favorite was by far the muffin.Well worth the drive!

This place is so great, such nice food and nice people/service. the pizza rolls are to die for!!! and all there bread is good and high quality. treat yourself next time you're in northville and come here!!! very clean and in a good area in downtown, can't wait to come back!!

Every time I walk into Great Harvest, I want to buy one of everything. Always smells so good. The bread is delicious. Our favorite is cinnamon chip. We also love their pizza rolls. Employees are always kind and welcoming. Love the free samples and trying new flavors, though they tend to cause me to add an additional loaf onto my order. I always walk in there intending to buy a loaf or two and always walk out with more.
