I have been going to the Great Baraboo for several years and it is a great place to go for a burger or pizza. My biggest complaint in the past was the lack of variety in their beers. I have been impressed with some of their recent barrel aged beers so u thought I would come back and update my review. The service has been great during my visits and the waitresses are friendly and attentive.

I meet up with some of my coworkers every now and again to hang out and this was that time to do so. I'm not as familiar with this side of town as they are, so when they suggested this place, I figured heck, why not!Walking in, the place is bigger than I expected. Plenty of seating, well decorated with TV's and such throughout. The menu here's pretty decent with a nice variety of options. I went with the patty melt and both of my friends went with a version of the Baraboo's mac and cheese. They really super enjoyed their dish as I did as well.We all got alcohol and my drink was made really well. It was a cherry lime aid type thing with vodka in it, and it was done just right. It really hit the spot! Our server was good and checked in with us every so often to make sure we were good. I will say it's really super loud in here sometimes, but they must have noise reducers somewhere because we were able to have a conversation at a normal level even with a football game going on and it was on a busy saturday night.Overall a great experience and I'll be back when I'm on this side of town.

Still can't drink anything alcohol but I like the beer. But the food I also like. Tonight I went for fish and chips. I wanted to get something I don't eat much of. I started with a cup of French onion soup I really like theirs. Slices of onions, nice sized croutons , not over done with the cheese. The broth has slight salty taste but on the good side. The fish was not greasy at all the right amount of breading. The fries were good and the Cole slaw was creamy. I had a lemonade and water. The service was excellent. Mia was our server she was on top of everything. The noise level was light and the dining area was clean.

This place was a pretty cool restaurant as well as a brewery, the food was really good, I ordered a flight of the beers, the beers I ordered were Shark Tooth Bay Golden Ale, Tangerine Gold, Hefen- Weisguy,Boston Black Stone Porter, My Little Boo-tter Cup, Stumpys Irish Stout Nitro. These beers were a 3/5 but I will tell you that the Hefe was disgusting. But the others were just okay. As far as food I had the Louisiana Cajun Burger and it was PHENOMENAL, the burger was very fresh m, I always ask for Rare and the meat is cooked to perfection it has that tenderness and chewiness I am looking for in a burger, we also had an appetizer which was Loaded Potato Skins which were very delicious! The only bad part of this experience was that we got stuck in the back corner of the brewery and the really bad Hefeweizen, other than that everything was great!

I keep forgetting about Baraboo...that's what we call it. We were here for the grand opening, decades ago, and we've enjoyed coming here every time. But, the location? Tricky. It's not near any major intersection. But, Baraboo is good enough that it's worth seeking out. The prices won't break the bank. The food selection should please any taste. The beer selection is great, with taps for their own beer, and a dozen beers from other breweries. Unlike most brewpubs, they also have a full bar. My wife always orders mixed drinks, but she was willing to come here before realizing they had added a full bar. That gives you an idea of how good this place is.Though I love the beer selection, I'm here for the food. You can add a soup or salad for only $1. The French onion soup was robust, and not overly salty. My wife's side salad was huge. The "Power Bowl" is a terrible name: it sounds like something with kale and quinoa and granola. But, it is a very good stir fry.The steak bites are lean and high quality, and the peppers and zucchini add freshness to the dish. The sauce that goes with it is like a bulgogi (Korean BBQ) sauce. The rice is perfectly cooked, but there's not nearly enough of it. You can also get chicken or shrimp with this dish.My wife's cedar plank salmon was flawless. It's served with a very tasty dill sauce. Here's the dilemma: it's great with it and it's great without it. Actually, that's not a problem at all. The salmon never had a chance. My daughter's baked mac & cheese was excellent, with a Michigan Pinconning cheddar smothering penne pasta.Nothing on the menu is over $20, unless you add things to it. Plus, the service is always very good, and today it was excellent. Even though the location isn't ideal, the place was still packed on a Friday evening. It seems that a lot of people know what a good thing they have going here.

Not a fan of craft brew, but I did enjoy my flight of 6 different beers for $10. That way I wouldn't get sick of what I was drinking. Nothing really wowed me or angered me, just meh.Happened upon this place on 1/2 off pizza night, Mondays. Great deal, and great pizzas! I did a small, 6 pieces, and did half meat and the other half veggies. I really appreciate they allowed that on 1/2 pizza night. Our server was great, but it was trivia night, and it got a bit raucous for me, so we left before it even got started. I'd definitely eat/drink here again.

Ordered Lake Perch w/fries; chicken fajitas(; fried nacho ice cream; lemonade drink. Everything was as described in menu. Service was prompt and attentive. Was seated upon entry . The atmosphere is fairly loud but, acceptable. It has a neighborhood pub feeling; very inviting .

One of the best things about comfort restaurants is that you know what you're going to get and you know it's going to be good. That's how I feel about Baraboo. Seriously one of the best pizzas in Michigan. While they don't have a BLT on the menu, they have always made one for me and it's absolutely my favorite. The crust is thick and crispy and the slices are a great size. I've had several of their pizzas and they are all spectacular. I do wish I have tried other things, but I feel like I would be betraying my love BLT. Their beers are all great, and a nice thing is that they have a full bar and also guest beers. I think one of the reasons they have been successful for so long is because this is so accommodating for people who don't necessarily love craft beers. Best of all, the staff is awesome. I have never had a bad experience here and I've been coming at least 20 years if not longer. I highly recommend the spot and definitely the pizza. All Amazing!

In a rather frank way, it sucked. Food was substandard, dining room was loud and crowded, tap was exclusively micro, service was meh at best. Hard pass, will not be back.

We drove a long way for these nachos, and they were worth every bite!! They are huge portions and we had a ton of leftovers. They are a brewing company, so they had a huge drink menu but a big food menu as well. We went during the week for lunch, service was great and very accommodating with an infant in a car seat. There was a bar area if you're looking to just get a drink, but the rest of it is restaurant seating.
