Tried a Texas Toast Grilled Cheese Mushroom Burger combo with fries and drink. It was a superior combination and the burger was nice and juicy.The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Topped it off with a Diet Coke. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting or passing through Detroit. Grandy's service has really been going down my last few visits. Prices has gone up and the quality and quantity has gone down.Use to be one of my favorites Coney Island would travel the distance after moving, now I will not be returning.

It's a good spot , the service can be better on some days but over all good place . I go here alot on Tuesdays and Thursdays because it's not the rush for pick ups you get on Mondays or Fridays. They have a huge menu but everything is great tasting, so it's never a problem getting anything. The service is good overall, even though you can tell the staff is overwhelmed by the shee volume if people at lunch sometime.

The waitress who worked New Year's Day morning was rude, loud cursing, ignoring customers and her boss. She was noticeably drunk or drugged, when she took orders she was slow and more interested in interacting with some customers that she knew. She called her friends to the window having them pass customers that were in line and took their orders. I gave her a nice tip but that was before she was rude to my sister who was standing behind me and before I saw how she reacted towards other customers.My sister had to yell out to the manager and ask him questions about previous orders that were fulfilled but this waitress refused to fulfill. This rude behavior continued with other customers and they were threatening to beat her. My sister says that she will continue to go there but only when the usual waitress is working only because she lives in the neighborhood, me I will never be back not because I don't live nearby but because the food was burned and overcooked and I am now going to walk in hoping this waitress is not on duty I would rather avoid this place all together. My past experiences were not like this at this restaurant. This Coney Island is located on Sherwood and Outer Drive. There was another waitress there who came out wiped the coffee machine and then braided the waitress hair while we were standing and waiting to give them our order, she walked into the back room and never returned with her rude ass leaving us to deal with the other rude ass waitress. This waitress had the nerve to put something in my sister bag that she thought was funny and my sister threw it back at her. It was a cup of mayonnaise that the waitress said that she couldn't have but threw it in her bag only because the manager said that she could have it but she didn't need it because she changed her order. Stop slumming and get real waitresses with a verified resume. The rudeness is ruining your reputation and your business.
