Grandma Bob's

We loved this cute little pizza spot!! We aren't from the area but used yelp to help us find a good spot to grab a bite to eat. I so love that yelpers help a girl out!! :) Grandma Bob's had great reviews so we decided to give it a try! We came for the pizza and stayed for the salad and the cocktails! ;) We decided to start our meal with the Cashew Caesar Salad, plenty for two to share as a starter. This salad was simple, yet packed with flavor!! We were so surprised at bursts hitting our tastebuds!! There was a subtle hint of spice, almost like a bit of a horseradish tinge. Very, very delicious!! Perfect amount of dressing to greens ratio!! :) We ordered a spicy pepperoni pizza - pepperoni, banana pepper, ricotta, Mike's hot honey & oregano. Need I say more?! This is an amazing combo of absolutely delicious flavors!! Pizza perfection!! We also had a couple of cocktails to complete our meal - mine was the snap dragon and it was so yummy!! We had great service and the atmosphere is very cozy and cute!! I personally really loved seeing all of the vintage pyrex bowl sets they have as decor!! Those bowls make me think of my Momma who had a set when I was growing up! :) I miss her but love places that help me remember how great she was - Thanks, Grandma Bob's!

Detroit has no shortage of great pizza, but Grandma Bob's remains one of my favorites. Their Detroit style pizza is pure perfection, with a textbook cheesy crust that's everything you're looking for in Detroit style.My go to is The Big Mack (with mozzarella) And listen, don't let the Impossible meat scare you off. Don't put yourself above Impossible meat. Just order it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Burger meets pizza, how does it get any better than that?Beyond the food, service is always solid, and the interior is super cool. They've got a cute mosaic pizza on the back wall, and the bar's backdrop is lined with their alcohol selection and old Italian cans -gives the place a warm, homey vibe.If you need another reason to go, they host Spread the Dough on the last Tuesday of every month, partnering with a local chef to create a one day only specialty pizza, with all proceeds going to a charity of the chef's choice. Found a diamond in the rough. Okay, not rough but expensive restaurants everywhere. This one isn't, it's mid priced and well worth it. $17 deep dish pizza is the best I've had. I think that's inexpensive for the best. Got a full bar. Drinks might be a little pricey but really delicious. You're not getting ripped off at all, they make them really good. The bartenders and waitstaff are super nice. Make you feel comfortable instantly. If you're looking for incredible food and drink, go here. Do not pass it bye going elsewhere. I love the atmosphere, the decorating. One thing, better chairs but really not a big deal. We will be back a lot. Do the same !

Lexi, our bartender and server, is really the sweetest. Love seeing her smiling face when we visit (which is not often enough).Beautifully stock bar with local (and imported) liquors. Best deep dish Detroit style pizza with meat and vegan options. Thanks GB's!

Vegan boozy shakes?!!! YES!!! Vegan cheese on pizza? YES!!! Don't worry- there is regular cheese and dairy ice cream also- Went here and had a shake for my birthday!! Fun vibes and the seats may not be completely comfortable. (And you're just dining, not living there!)

Weird name, AMAZING pizza. I am a huge fan of Detroit style pizza and can honestly say this may be my new favorite pizza spot! I was fortunate it was just down the block from where I was staying when in town. I read the reviews and placed my order. When my coworkers saw me eating later in the lobby they were immediately hungry and went to the nearest restaurant to satisfy their hunger. Sadly there is no way it was nearly as good as my pizza! The order was ready and packed with utensils by the promised time. Wish I could mail order these pies!

Pizza was great. Vegan boozy shake was pretty ok. Definitely come for the pizza. Very nice staff too!

Ohhhhh how I love a good pizza. There are so many generic pizza places out there. Grandma Bob's is the real deal and one of the best in the city. At to it the location, the amazing service and the great ambiance and you end up with more than a great pizza. You get a great EXPERIENCE! And that's what always matters to me!

I love this place for a special treat sometimes. They have classic detroit style pizza as well as some pretty unique and creative menu options. Service is always great, and it's a fun, chill environment! Definitely recommend the Lobster Roll Pizza when it's in season!

Delicious! Would definitely return. The mushroom pizza was yummy. It wasn't deep dish but it was thick and crispy Detroit style. The cashew caesar salad was also yummy - dressing is super light and it isn't as creamy as the typical restaurant caesar salad. The only thing I wished for were additional veggie sides - maybe roasted brussel sprouts, carrots, etc.Came after a show on Saturday 5pm - place was busy with counter space only. It's small and a bit noisy, but at the counter my friend and I were able to carry a conversation. They use the portable toast scanners to check you out at your table, which I like, as your credit card never leaves your sight. Friendly & casual service.
