Crab rangoon
Crab Rangoon - 4/6 dumplings left. Good but nothing spectacular
Shrimp and broccoli w/ brown rice - flavor good with brown sauce
Almond chicken with veggie fried rice - good flavor but a bit soggy and veggie fried rice not so "veggie"
Egg drop soup - a good sized portion but thin and something fishy about the aftertaste. Blechhh
Lunch shrimp w/ garlic sauce, hot & sour soup

Super friend and really cute inside. Wasn't a fan of their egg drop soup, was really thin and not full. The crab Rangoon was thick and cream!

If I had to choose the best Chinese in the area I'd have to go with this place. 2/3 times it's been great. We get the egg rolls, general Taos, sweet and sour chicken but the best is their vegetable lo mein which is amazing!

I'm Gluten Free and they were the only Chinese place around that actually offers BREADED (GF Breaded) chicken!!! They use corn starch instead and you can make almost any choice Gluten Free. It's some of the best Chinese chicken I've had, other than making it myself at home. I HIGHLY recommend this place. They also give good portions for what you pay and the staff is so friendly. Needless to say, I was a regular until I moved out of state last year, but I recommend this place still to this day and I miss it. Wish other places did this. And if you sit inside, the decor and unique artwork is interesting to see as well! If you're looking for a down-to-earth, out of the way place to eat some Gluten Free Chinese food, this is it. I would travel at least an hour to go get it. Just wish I was still within that distance but I think 4.5 hours is too far sadly

We had take out on Tuesday. So good! Our son treated us.My husband and I had sweet and sour shrimp. My son had the sweet and sour chicken and my daughter in-law had the Moo Shu Chicken. The three fingers came with an egg roll. We all had left overs for the next day! Yummy!

Ordered delivery the first time we ate here, so can't comment on the restaurant.Service:Lady who delivered the food was nice and pleasant. The food arrived maybe 10 minutes past the estimated time of 45 minutes so be prepared to wait a while. We were somewhat expecting this anyways.Food:Crab rangoon - this was good with crisp wonton wrapper, good amount of cream cheese with pieces of chopped imitation crab you can see when you bite into it. Flavor was good but nothing out of the ordinary. They give a small container of a sweet and sour orange dipping sauce.Fried Potstickers - I didn't try it, but my husband really loved them. They looked homemade with homemade wrapper etc, by the way they were wrapped, but maybe a little too thick wrapper dough.Almond Chicken - a bit disappointed with the quality of this. We're used to having a nice thicker chunk of juicy chicken breast and a very crispy batter. The flavor was good, but batter got a bit soggy and chicken was thin. Really liked the sauce that went with this. A light brown savory gravy. The egg fried rice that came with this wasn't up to par. I didn't even think it had egg or any extra veggie in it. I didn't taste it and my DH was disappointed by the flavor.Shrimp and broccoli - I think I was expecting bigger shrimp to come with this, but at least the flavor was good. The shrimp were a little larger than quarter sized to give you an idea. The sauce was a nice brown sauce, probably the same one they use for beef and broccoli. I really liked the savory flavor and not sweet like some other places, but next time I'd get beef instead of shrimp. I got this with steamed brown rice. For these lunch specials, both of us chose egg drop soup (you have a choice of wonton soup, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, or a fried eggroll as the side). This was the worst egg drop soup I have ever tasted. I'm not one to throw away food, but I couldn't stomach eating the rest after 2 spoonfuls. It looked like any other chinese restaurant egg drop soup with the bright yellow color and ribbons of egg, but the flavor was bland and watery with a fishy/crabby aftertaste to it. I'm Asian so I'm used to fishy tasting dishes, but this was fishy in a bad way. Maybe try some of the other options.I'm giving 4 (really 3.8) stars for now because this place has some decent items but not entirely fresh or out of the ordinary but better than most for flavor here in Brighton.

We have been going here since they opened in 1998. Reliable and excellent food and the service always comes with big smiles! Can't beat a family owned business vs those chain Chinese places.

This was our first attempt at finding Chinese in Brighton, unfortunately it was a bust. I will say that the staff was friendly and it sounds like they have delivery here which are definite pluses but the food itself wasn't up to our expectations. It seems like it's harder and harder to find the Chinese food of my childhood with great egg rolls, a crispy fry on good meat and sauces that are separate and distinct. My theory is that the families who came here and began restaurants have passed the baton to their kids, which likely don't have the same special touch or pride in their recipes as the first generation. That's just my theory. We ordered their sweet and sour chicken dinner with Wonton soup, an egg roll and white rice. We also wanted to try their spring rolls and crab Rangoon as an app. I ordered their Hunan Chicken with white rice. The spring rolls were OK but weren't quite right, at least from what we're accustomed to. The egg roll was about the same. The crab Rangoon were very lightly filled but tasted pretty good. The sweet and sour chicken had a gummy batter that was lightly fried and the chicken was a little tough. The chicken in my Hunan was also tough and some of it too tough to chew. My wife's dinner came with rice but they didn't give me any extra rice to go with my meal. Lastly, the Wonton soup was not great. The dumplings fell apart and didn't have much filling while the broth was less green onion/chicken flavored and more wash water tasting, sorry to say. Instead of the standard green onions floating in the broth there was lettuce, which was grim at best. $30 for the two entrees and two apps is about on par with our experiences coming from Ferndale but the food wasn't up to par. So onto the next spot.

I am sorry but the food was simply not good. Soup with little flavor. Egg roll with little flavor and no dipping sauce. I wondered if the pork in the sweet and sour pork came prebreaded from a freezer and why the red sauce and vegetables were skimpy. Too bad, it would be nice to find a good Chinese restaurant near here.

I ordered the pork lo mein on a snowy Monday afternoon. It was delicious and warmed me right up. The service was friendly and attentive. If I'm in Howell again, I will come back!
