Gourmet Garden

Gourmet garden should be called gourmet trash. This has to be one of the worst Asian food I ever had.

We had given up on getting Chinese in Livingston county because everywhere that we tried was absolutely horrible never even knew this place existed because it's tucked away in a plaza. So when I tell you this is legit it's fore! My husband gets the general Taos I get sweet and sour chicken and we get veggie lo mein and eggs rolls. Everything was great and the lo mein was bomb! So happy we don't have to drive 40 mins for Chinese now!

Great food and accommodated dietary restrictions of the group. Service was impeccable and fast!

I've been coming here for 10+ years and they always have a great authentic Chinese dinner. Family owned and they're always so kind when we get food. It's hidden away but definitely worth it, and they do carry out.

FAST delivery and decent takeout with generous protein portions. Delivery was at my door in 10 minutes, and my chicken with broccoli was packed with chicken. The food is definitely on the greasy and salty side but not bad for takeout. I would suggest asking them to go light on the soy/salt and oil.

Excellent Eggplant stuffed with shrimp. Very tender with delicious sauce with mushrooms. The Ma-La shrimp and scallops were good, but just a little over done.

Our first Christmas dinner as empty-nesters. I looked at reviews for several Chinese restaurants in the area and decided to give this one a try. All of those people that gave rave reviews must have eaten somewhere else! The fried rice was flavorless and beige. The egg roll was full of raw cabbage and mushy. Egg drop soup was awful. Sweet and sour shrimp and General's chicken topped it off and both were the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten! Don't risk your health here...husband was up sick all night.

Gourmet Garden has been my go-to Chinese restaurant for the past 15 years. The food is delicious and the lunch specials are a great deal. Additionally, the service is exceptional. My family and I have gotten to know the owner/workers throughout the years and they always treat us with utmost kindness and care. Although I live 30 minutes away, Gourmet Garden will always be worth the drive and I will continue to eat here frequently!

NO FLAVOR!!! Wonton soup-broth tasted very watered down. Pineapple honey chicken-chicken was nicely breaded and cooked but the sauce lacked in flavor of any kind. Pandas trio- wasn't spicy at all and again lacked in seasoning. Egg rolls- are very small not a good ratio of wrapper to filling.
