I like their drink options and that they have various kinds of tea. They also have sugar level options which is important to me. It's getting harder for bubble tea shops to differentiate themselves. Gong cha has a lot of different toppings. I wish they had almond jelly as a bubble tea topping like at Boba Guys

First time coming here! Not bad... I always get the same thing if I can, lychee fruit tea. There was the green tea and the oolong tea; I went with green tea. Recommended sweet option was listed at 50% but I usually get 100% or 70% so I went with the 70%. Should've gotten the recommendation because it was indeed, sweeeeeet. My partner order passionfruit green tea with 30% sugar and it was also pretty sweet still. Was able to satisfy my boba crave but wish I tasted more of the tea. There's definitely room for improvement and I'm sure I'll see it next time I'm here.Very clean store. I like the vibe, super chill. Nice hangout spot. Kiosk was convenient.

I really like the lychee tea with coconut jelly. Sweet and tart all at once. The service is good the place is clean and the parking is ample.

I've heard good things about this place and I went with my boyfriend. We went around lunchtime so it was busy but the service was good and did not take long. I also liked the overall aesthetic of the place. We ordered the Waffle with Pearls (not pictured) with all 3 sauces and the Crème Brûlée Strawberry Latte and Matcha Smoothie. I was excited to eat the waffle and it was simple but still yummy. The drinks were good and we adjusted the sugar level to be lower but it was still quite sweet but I didn't mind. I would like to try the other flavors in the future.

Standard basic boba tea. I am not even sure I got what I order, didn't keep the receipt to see if they heard my order correctly. I ordered the winter melon milk tea, which tasted like basic milk/coffee tea. Couldn't taste any melon. The cashier was nice and the place was well decorated with good amount of seating.

Got creme brule strawberry latte and oolong tea.Just opened and got these two drinks. Service was a bit slow as there was still quite a bit of training going on on how to make the drinks. The oolong tea was without sugar and tasted pretty standard. The creme brule latte was good. They torch the top like real creme brule. I got it 30% sweet which was even too much. The strawberry syrup in the bottom made it enough sweet. Their menu seems small compared to other bubble tea places and even compared to other Gong Cha's I've been to. It has some potential and I can see it being better and more smoothly run in about 6 months.

I remember wandering over to my first Gong Cha location in San Jose when they first opened. The lines there were sprawling and it took almost an hour to get my drink. Back then, the boba craze hadn't swept through the US yet, and Gong Cha had only recently begun its expansion in the US. Nowadays, this chain can be found in most major cities and Metro Detroit has finally joined the ranks (not discounting the location over in Windsor). As I walked in over the first weekend after opening, I found only a couple of other patrons ahead of me - surprising, given the popularity of this chain in other regions. Luckily the lack of traffic didn't impact the quality of the drink.Original Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sugar, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.60) - Gong Cha is pretty consistent with drinks in the US, and this location is no exception. The milk tea is fragrant, with some Oolong-like fruity undertones, which pairs well with the concentrated taste of the milk powder. The boba, as with other locations, is on the smaller size - not to the point of being mini boba, but smaller than most other shops. As with my experience in the past, the chew is a bit more firm than perfection (at least for me), but offers a pleasant bite nonetheless. The exterior of the boba is a bit sticky, like it's been soaked in honey or brown sugar. Overall it's a solid drink. I don't consider it to be top tier, but it's one that I wouldn't mind having once in a while as an alternative to my regular rotation. Milk Tea Rating: (4/5)Boba Rating: (4/5)I'm happy to see another consistent chain is now on the US side of the Detroit River. Additional options for boba are always welcome.Note: The kiosk charges a service fee, which in my case was approximately 2.5%. They are currently offering a coupon for buy-2-get-1-free after your first purchase. I don't know when the offer ends.Bathrooms - One unisex room featuring a strange dyson combo faucet/hand dryer that is awkward to use.

No. This can't be a Gong cha chain. Their menu is smaller than their online menu. Milk tea somehow taste like soy milk. I have no idea how you do that. Herbal jelly is more like gelatin than herbal jelly. It is hard and tasteless. Seems like the owner use cheaper ingredients than what they supposed to be.

Stopped in for the first time tonight. I will definitely be coming back! The staff greeted me right when I entered. I used the kiosk to order a brown sugar milk teas and a strawberry refresher. I loved both! They give you a good amount of boba too! Definitely can't wait to go back!!

I absolutely love it here! The store is sooo aesthetically pleasing, and it's super clean compared to the other boba shops i've been to. I've been a regular since they opened, and their drinks never seemed to disappoint! My biggest tip though is to lessen the sweetness level unless you have a huge sweet tooth. The recommended is 50%, but in my personal (and others) experience, it can still be a bit too sweet, so no sugar or 30% is best if you like it perfect. Their service is 10/10. They always welcome you when coming in, and ensuring you that they wish you a good day when you leave as well. The employees themselves are also super sweet and very approachable, so I never feel like i'm annoying them when I have billions of questions to ask. My favorite part of their service is how they offer you a sample of toppings or drinks if you never tried it before, this is so helpful in making sure I don't regret buying something different from my usuals.
