Golden Eagle Bar & Grill

Excellent food for great prices!! It's like stepping back in time. I've never had a dish I didn't like there.

Okay so I wanted to try this place and upon showing up the place has the sign of a Chinese big red sign very dark. Still decided to go in . We ordered a Stella's and they gave it to us in a tiki cup (it was margarita day) as soon as the waitress brought it I smelt tequila. Upon tasting it was not the taste of Stella at all and was very sweet tasting just like tequila. The waitress kindly gave us a new one and unfortunately the steallas then was warm.... The filet was super yummy but they gave me beef gravy on the side. Staff was nice and friendly and the place was clean. The Caesar salad was not tasty and lettuce was slightly wilted.

Always a great stop for a terrific meal. Great bar area and plenty of seating. Staff is tremendous and the food is excellent. Plenty of specials with many fish options. If you don't want the fish try a wonderfully prepared steak!! Mmmm. I enjoy the onion soup to begin but they have plenty of appetizers to choose from. Enjoy. Your Host will greet you promptly upon arrival.

Great tasting steak and the Mario sauce was an excellent compliment. I ordered the NY strip which was a nice size, 12 oz, and was fantastic- great charbroiled taste, juicy and cooked perfectly to the doneness I ordered. Creamy tomato basil soup was a bit salty and taste was a bit off to me, but other than that everything else was good. I also want to point out the fresh warm rolls, they were reminiscent of the bread from Joe Muers' restaurants without the buttery mess. Our server Susan was attentive and friendly, offered up great suggestions, very informative and accommodated our requests. The place itself has a warm, old style, loungy vibe with a lot of table and booth seating. We had a very comfortable feeling as soon as we walked in and throughout the dinner. I see this as a go-to place for a nice steak dinner. Looking forward to our return to try the prime rib, served apparently only on Saturdays and Mondays.

The food and service were great!! Plus the setting gives you the feeling you are back in time.

Old school at its best... the food is always delicious! The ambience is pure 80s glow... Caesar salad made right at the table. Side spaghetti and chicken tenders staple since I was 8 years old.

My husband and I are your typical well traveled amateur foodies. We've been to fancy, trendy places in Chicago, New York and beyond and we are obsessed with Golden Eagle. It's not "trendy" but the food is so good. We've literally never had a bad meal there. Bread is amazing. Peanut butter pie is epic. It's my favorite place to eat in Rochester Hills. It's so nice to have a casual come as you are place with great food just around the corner. The staff is super nice and so good to our buttered noodles, bread and fish tank loving daughter. One of the waitresses we've had before even stopped by to say hi. Run don't walk to Golden Eagle.

food was okay but cool, the worst was being overcharged after I verified the billing and signed. Yes the card was overcharged $6.00 after leaving a tip!! I will not go back again I have been to the Golden Eagle before multiple times, but this is my LAST.

Wonderful atmosphere with very pleasant table service. I was not pleased with the food. I started to eat my entree and felt sick. So, I stopped eating it and brought it home to feed my dog. Unfortunately, both my dog and I got pretty sick from the chicken and shrimp....not a coincidence. In addition, my entree was too saturated with the sauce and very overpowering. I'm hoping it was just an off day.

Yes, back in the day lived in Rochester. Lovely local restaurant that had the best shrimp scampi. I hope it still is. Cool to see they are still open
