Golden Cone

Stopped in here tonight at Arts, Eats, and Beats! Such a good spot to grab some ice cream! The custard is amazing (both chocolate and vanilla). Even though it was busy because of the festival, the service was quick. Great ice cream spot!

Golden cone is the cutest mom and pop ice cream shop downtown royal oak. They are only open in the summer though. They use guernsey farms dairy so I feel good about shopping local, plus it's really high quality. I have been bummed because they used to carry my favorite flavor- peanut butter cookie dough and I haven't seen it in a while. I have been getting lavender honey in the meantime, which is good but miss my pb cookie dough!

Simply the best! The custard is amazing. I have to try to be disciplined and not go everyday, it's that good! The service is excellent and extremely friendly.It's always got a nice little vibe outside too. Always know summer is here when Golden Cone opens.

This place has delicious ice cream and friendly employees. The employee was very patient as my wife and I made our decisions. They serve great quality ice cream and a good quantity of ice cream too.

Always out of hard vanilla and chocolate hard-ice cream and and sprinkles. Ice cream is great when they have it in stock. Poor Management because she does not listen to customers.

Golden Cone is a cute little shop in Downtown Royal Oak. I've been here around 4 times with my sister. Although the shop is cute, the staff is always incredibly friendly and the service is quick - there's always just a "meh" feeling about the ice cream. The custard is more of a frozen cool whip consistency and dim flavor - it never truly hits the spot. The hard scoops are okay, but the flavors, again, just don't hit the spot for us. Maybe it's us and our insane sweet tooths, who knows.

On a warm, sunny day you're walking down the street and see a few people standing in line for.. ICECREAM! I never knew this place was here.. but of course my toddler saw icecream & had a full on panic attack that could only be treated with chocolate chip cookie dough. The best part is there's a little outside window to order form or you can go inside. There's a few little tables and a bench nearby. They have both icecream and frozen yogurt. Loved it! Ambiance is cute and fun. Workers were really sweet too.

Only one person working was cleaning when I came in and ignored me for about a minute before telling me that they didn't have milf for milkshakes

They have many options, some that I have never seen before. The line is always busy and the worker's are very sweet and efficient. One of my faves in metro Detroit!

Great ice cream, I wish they were opening until 11:00 on Saturday.I like the tast and the serving was awesome.
