Golden Bowl

I made a very large order that was completed in 30 minutes to my surprise. It was all together in a big box that was easy to carry (other than how heavy it was ;))Inside the restaurant looks a little scary but the food was pretty decent. With plastic covering parts of the ceiling I couldn't tell if they were trying to separate the kitchen from the "dining area" or if the place is under construction. I was expecting the general chicken to be a little spicier but it had good flavor and the chicken wasn't too fatty. Large serving size for a lunch portion. I was not a fan of the egg roll, not much flavor.Hot and sour soup was decent. Not very spicy at all but I still enjoyed it and loved that it was made with tofu.We ordered a ton of other food that I didn't get to try, but it seemed to be enjoyed amongst the people I was with - pad Thai, bbq ribs, lo mein, all the soups, hunan shrimp (looked delicious with all the veggies), shrimp egg foo young (covered in gravy).The soups came with those crunchy fried pieces which is a plus.All in all, I would go back.

The service was fast as a carry out. The food was really good and the portions were extra. But my chicken was so bone dry and it tasted like it was old even though the flavors were good. The chicken tasted like it was old and dry. But the biggest deal is would I tried again and I have to say that I would because the flavors were great.

The foods amazing. The price is perfect and the quality is superb. I live 20 minutes away and I pass 3 other Chinese food spots just to go here. They've yet to disappoint me.

We have only had take out from here.The prices are pretty good, and the food is great. From the fried rice to the sweet and sour and the rangoons. They even seal the take out containers and bag very well. I have no complaints.

This place is still on lockdown like it was Covid. It is carry out only despite having a large dining room. Food is just OK. Nothing that great. But maybe a notch above the other local places.

We have been Golden Bowl patrons off and on for over 30 years. Whenever we're in metro Detroit. Early on I remember they moved to a larger location, but not much has changed since then. The dishes haven't changed much. Still very tasty and huge portions. The staff are very friendly, even during Covid. Please note before going in that for them English is a struggle and they might not understand everything you say. You're there to eat not make buddies.At the moment there is no dining in. Call in orders and a polished carry out system keep them open. At times I've wished we live near here, the food is that good.10/20

Food & portions is good, prices are decent. But since Covid The ambience is gone. So if you're looking for Chinese food come to The Golden Bowl.

I've been coming here for years and they are CONSISTENTLY GREAT! Food is fresh and hot. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are great! Call ahead because they stay busy!

The service is fast and the workers are always polite. The food...ehh...for my husband it was a hit. But for me, I was not happy with the taste of my brown gravy; my rice was old; and the fortune cookies taste weird. In all my life, I have never came across a weird tasting fortune cookie. Will I return to this establishment? Possibly. However, I will not order anything that requires gravy.

The food was bland and expensive. I threw it all away. Too expensive to have no flavor. I ordered shrimp lo mein, sesame chicken, and chicken and broccoli. The lo mein noodles reminded me of ramen, the sesame chicken was bland and so was the chicken and broccoli. I tried to add some season to the chicken and broccoli but it didn't work. The sauce taste like water.
