Goblin Macomb

This is hands down the best sushi place I've been to in town. Every Tuesday night I go and sit at the bar. The chef always makes good conversation and even asks me to try new things that he is trying out and looking to add to the menu. This place is always quiet and gives a little feel to traditional South Korean restaurants.

Excellent food and really unique space. I tried a few rolls there but I think the Caterpillar roll was my favorite.

Best service, freshest sushi, sweetest staff my last meal would be here at goblin. The cooked rolls are just as fresh and tasty as the raw ones. Always hard deciding what I want to order.. i just don't have any pictures of the rolls i normally get because i want to eat it asap.

So cute! I've been here twice and the chef is super nice and the sushi is delicious! It's very clean and adorable inside- Fairly priced, too! I'm going to keep coming back :)

Without a doubt the best sushi in town and the most fresh. The head Sushi Chef is the ultimate professional. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and customer service focused. Without a doubt the freshest sushi around. I have been eating sushi for 40 years and I have never written a positive review for a sushi restaurant until now. The young lady at the front (Nevaeh) is so kind and again customer focused. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays and this is disappointing and yet the reason for this is because the head Sushi chef is waiting to hire and train another chef who will represent his brand the way he has. Once you visit here you will understand why it is so important to maintain the quality of this establishment. I consider myself a connoisseur regarding sushi and I highly recommend you visit Goblin Sushi. DOK

I was craving sushi so I decided to visit the new Goblin location in Macomb and it was just as good as the Clinton Twp one I fell in love with! The ambiance, quality, and consistency are still superb. Chef Jo from the Clinton location and another sushi chef were working. Both were amazing and clearly knew what they were doing. The girl working at the front was so sweet and welcoming too!I ordered a spicy tuna roll, salmon belly roll, and tuna nigiri. All the rolls were so fresh and you can really taste the quality. I brought my mom in with me, she's really picky and normally doesn't eat fish at restaurants, and she loved the sushi here, she said it is "the best." I also ordered the matcha cheesecake to go, which is a must have when you stop in. It's so light and yummy! Goblin is still my favorite sushi restaurant, in fact the best in MI, and one of the few places I'll eat raw fish from in MI. If you want high quality and fresh sushi at a low price, stop in! Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here.

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and we were wowed by the quality of food and amazing service. The chef gave us some complimentary nigiri to try and we were wowed by how soft the fish was and quality of the rice. It was delightful! The rolls were incredible and tasty. It was so fresh. The chef came over and was chatting with us for a moment and I couldn't believe the friendliness. This will be a new regular spot for us for sure!

I was born & raised in Macomb and graduated from Dakota High School. Since moving away, I've missed many things, but the sushi wasn't one of them.But this place is different. High quality sushi, affordable price, and great aesthetics. I LOVE the Korean vibes here. Reminds me of the sushi places I visited in Seoul. Sushi Chef Yosef was great to talk to--really sociable & knows a lot about the sushi craft.I had a chance to visit their Gratiot location as well, and I found them both to be of equal quality. Hidden gems in Metro Detroit! I want to know where the next one will pop up.

Establishment was very clean and the staff was hospitable and helpful to first time guests. Goblin salad was fresh, lettuce was crispy and the avocado was amazing. Multiple sushi dishes were prepared to perfection (spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, chicken tempura roll). Highly recommend!
