Really BAD experience.... Was excited to try the fish.. called was told it was hand battered.... Went in and ordered fish with salad and baked potato...... ranch dressing was bubbly and warm so I was scared to eat that... fish was just bad.... Was told it was 12 ounces... they must weigh it after they batter it. Was told it was cod... I don't think so... wasn't white enough and the batter and fish wasn't cooked enough. The oil was probably too hot, that's why the outside was brown but the inside was doughy. You could actually still see some of the orange color to the batter. Not crispy at all...The baked potato was good. I peeled all the batter off, ate the fish and the potato, then saw what appeared to be a grayish eyebrow hair on the bottom of my plate.. that sealed the deal... the guy cooking with the salt and pepper hair and afternoon shadow beard needs to put a damn hairnet on his head and face so it doesn't end up on the plate. I almost puked.The only thing good about this experience was the waitress... she was apologetic and nice..I felt bad for her.You really have to know what you're doing to have good hand, battered fish and chips and it's quite obvious, the cook that was shedding on my plate hasn't figured that out yet.... We will NEVER be back..... I'm soo mad I didn't just go to Michnos for their fish..... this was a waste of 40 bucks

I have been to GJ's on multiple occasions and have had consistently great service, good food, in a no-frills place. The restaurant is clean, simply set up, I mean, it's a diner. I have had breakfast and lunch at breakfast as well as lunch at lunch time and each time my order has been hot, fresh, and most of all, right! Delicious food delivered by hard working servers who deserve raises all around!

Being Friday during Lent I stopped in at a local diner for a fish dinner. My server, Roberta, was a real pleasure. My food came quickly and hot and my drink was replenished timely. The diner is spot on clean and decorated in a homey comfort food kinda place. With an extensive menu they'll be able to satisfy any hunger pangs. This one's a keeper so don't miss it!!!

It's a little run down Coney Island but the breakfast is as good as you'll get anywhere. I got the Greek omelet and it was good. My daughter got the English muffin breakfast sandwich and she loved it.

This gets a 5 star because it is a diner and I didn't expect much, but it delivered. Grilled veggie omelet was delicious, pita was fresh and server was attentive.Plus the prices were low!

A Old 24 hour Clock Restaurant beautiful remodeled great food and prices. Thanks to our waitress recommend the Chopped Breaded Chicken Pita absolutely Unique and Delicious WOW. A couple Detroit Coney Dogs along with a Chili Special n Cream of Broccoli Soup spot on Wonderful. She had Chicken Kebob with Xtra no skewers just moist tender flavorful Chicken and Peppers OMG fantastic . I was in from out of state to help my sick brother. After I took him to the doctor, we came here for an early dinner. I guess the server (young, dark hair and chubby) didn't like the looks of us or something. From the very start, she was short with us and seemed annoyed. Never once did she check to see if everything was ok. When we were half way done, she slapped our check on the table. She was chatty with a couple of tables, but treated us like dirt.Little did she know that I've been a waitress for 40 years and over tip for great service. All I kept saying to myself was, "Honey, you're not a waitress". Also, the food was nothing to write home about.Needless to say, we'll never go back.

The price: $8.00On the menu it says freshly sliced: FalseThis is what I get for trying new places. The gyro meat was more like breakfast sausage texture, like three meatloaf STRIPS. There is nothing fresh nor sliced about this meat. The bread was not warmed up, steamed, not even microwaved, very stiff and too thick for the small amount of meat you get. Also, they put the sauce in a cup, on the side... perfect...but with no damn lid, filled to the top. Spilled all inside the box. Also, asked for an extra cup of sauce, $1.00?! No thank you. This is not a place for a REAL gyro.Olympics Coney in Westland is cheaper on price. They actually have sliced gyro meat. The bread is warm, and wrapped nicely in foil. They also put lids on your to-go sauces.
