George's Family Restaurant

Always good. And always busy. It has been awhile since I visited. I had some phenomenal chicken noodle soup to start along with some great whitefish & macaroni and cheese. And for the win, as my fellow Yelper would say, finished the meal with some fabulous rice pudding!

Traditional diner atmosphere, but clean! Open early (7AM on a Monday, not 6AM as some online sources indicate). Portions were as expected and prices were very low. They will use real butter if you ask. Food was properly cooked, over medium eggs were over medium (this is a lot more difficult for most places than you'd imagine). The waitress was friendly. I will definitely be back!

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday, expecting a neighborhood diner and that is exactly it! At George's we had a great simple brunch with a really nice server! The food was fresh and plentiful. The coffee was delicious. There were locals sharing stories. It was fantastic! The only issue was we took the last booth for two in back of the restaurant across from the back door and it was cold. I can't think of a solution, and it would not stop me from returning. I would just wait for a seat more in the middle, on a cold day.

Can't go wrong with George's.....no complaintsThere is a reason its been on the hill as long as it has.......very food greasy spoon!

Brenda was a fantastic and friendly and even moved us to a larger booth without us having to ask! I had George's omelette and I loved it. Amazing value

Food is always excellent. Service is fast and efficient. Best soup in town. One of my favorites.

Amazing staff, reasonable prices and you get your meals quickly. Small dining area so four persons or less. I have recommended this diner to family and friends. I plan on patronize this little diner.

Great food. Great service. And the music station is my favorite ambiance. (Just be careful about parking because some of the elderly customers should not be driving).

Fast service and great prices! Definitely recommend! Better than most places I've been to downriver.

Quick service and good prices. Like the homemade stuffed cabbage. The specials even come with a small dessert. Be a fool not to give them a try.
