Gatsby's

We were recently at the home show in Novi and needed a place to stop and get a meal. We decided to go into Gatsby and see what it was all about. Our waitress was friendly and able to help us out with whatever was on the menu if we had any questions. We had hamburgers and salads, both were very good. It seems like it would be a great place to be a regular bar patron. A very nice u-shaped bar with lots of regulars. If I had any thing to say negative, it would be the booth size is very tight. I suggest if you're eating dinner grab a table.

Saturday afternoon, headed to a Tigers game and wanted to stop somewhere we had never been for lunch. Well here we are, at Gatsby's. Here is what we liked :* Immediate seating and where you would like. Nice. And immediately greeted upon sitting and given menus.* Mushroom appetizer- while basic mushrooms were crisp and not greasy and a decent size.* Beer was cold.*The misses got a BLT, which can be a gamble. This was a solid good, decent amount and quality of bacon. Also added tots so she was happy.* I went with the Rueben and it was quite good. A mild sauerkraut and good thick slices of corn beef. And added onion rings, so I was happy.* the other couple with us got a burger that looked good and said it was good. What could of been better:* Onion rings were a bit greasy but I still ate them all. * Misses thought the high top table should have hooks for purses, as it appeared it may have in the past.Overall a friendly little bar/restaurant with a good vibe.

The outside signage always intrigued me. I thought it would be art deco inside. It was an average bar inside. They have some bar games like darts. TVs on every wall to watch the latest sports. We went at noon on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. The waitstaff was nice and accommodating when we wanted turkey Ruben's vs the corned beef Rueben on the menu. The food was average.

Me and my Aunt just stopped in for lunch after the Oddities show at Suburban Showplace and man I wish I lived closer! Very comforting place to sit down and eat. The beautiful waitstaff was very courteous and made sure we had everything perfect. The bathrooms were also very clean and whoever runs this place knows what they're doing!

Stopped here for lunch after an event at suburban collection showplace. Convenient location. Smells like a bar from back in the day. I had the chicken sandwich which was delicious. Would probably stop in here again when I'm in the area.

Our waitress was very nice - recommended the cream of mushroom soup did not disappoint- bar type atmosphere reminded me of TV show Cheers- i had the special 2 sliders and fries was surprised when 2full size cheese burgers with fried onions came out - usually sliders are small still very good burgers - my friend had brussel sprout salad with chicken and gave me a taste delicious - would go again

Four of us stopped by Saturday for lunch after the home show down the road. Three of us totally enjoyed our sandwiches while one was very disappointed that his hot turkey sandwich had very little turkey to enjoy . All in all burgers were excellent as was my muffuletta sandwich . We would return another time moving forward.

I'd like to write a review about the food at Gatsby's but we were pointedly ignored by the server for 15 minutes after arrival. Manager/Owner noticed us waiting and said - she'll be right with you - he never bothered to follow up. So off we popped.

Good experience but overpriced for a simple limited menu. We were seated quickly. It took quite a while for the food to come out for such a simple meal.Very limited draft beer list.

Wings were fatty and gross, do not recommend. Service was good, servers were all very lovely. Drinks were flowing
