This place is way overpriced and quality sucks now. The only people that come here are Japanese expats because they are home sick and willing to over pay for basic items. Sushi, $3.80 a piece. Fish is thin, rice break apart once you attempt to pick it up. Fish taste fresh though. I have the worst katsudon here. Pork cutlet is tough and dry like I cook it at home. Portion is small too. The small plates are very expensive but nothing is marinated. Even salad they change to plain shredded cabbage. Chef is drunk and lazy because he can get away with it.

My favorite restaurant ever!Ami-san and Pedro-san are the best people ever. They always great me and my family when we enter. I have been going here for over a decade and the food is still the best. The is we us an actual fisherman and loves telling his fishing stories. He's very friendly too and will come sit with you and talk to his customers.Sushi is so fresh. Their sushi rice is the best. I love the yakitori here the most. I always order so much. They have a really interesting fried rice that tastes so yummy. Their hamachi is also seasoned perfectly. I don't think I have had anything here that's bad tbh.Definitely a place to come for authentic Japanese food in an authentic Japanese setting.

Always a solid performer for Japanese food. Sushi is fresh and tasty. Fumi is one of the only places to get okonomiaki (and it's good!). Smaller setting in a strip mall and could use a little updating.

My friends wanted to check out this Novi located restaurant restaurant they all got sushi but I got the shouyo ramen it took about 10-15 mins to come out and when it came out it wasnt had tasty as other shouyo ramen I've had it tasted very chewy and the broth just wasn't as flavorful I had two BITES and told the waitress that I didn't like it she said she'll take it back, at regular restaurants you'd think when the waitress saids they will take it back it means they take off that item off your bill, but no the bill comes and they charged me for it I asked the server to take it off the bill she said she can't void it off. I don't like making a fuss at restaurants so I just paid for it but I think it was very unfair that they stole my money. I don't recommend going to the place, I won't go there again ambiance was dark and felt depressing.

An authentic Japanese restaurant, recommend it if you also love Japanese food! Yakitori, gizzard, potato salad are great!! The niku tofu and beef and asparagus may go better with rice than being alone( slightly salty). HIRE katsu is beef katsu, goes well with the salad at side.

If your not Asian they treat you second class rush you out give you old food like if you don't know sushi food was disgusting I'll never goThere again. The Tuna had bad after taste- -star

Moved to the area months ago and this has become our weekly spot because we love it so much! Very authentic Japanese restaurant, quality traditional dishes and everyone speaks Japanese. Its without a doubt, the best sushi in the area and we rave to all of our friends to come try this place. The sushi rice, the way it's prepared, this makes a huge difference!!We enjoy traditional nigiri and sashimi sushi and from all the sushi places in the area, the quality of fish here is night and day compared to other places! The server Amy, is so warm and loving and you just feel so loved and welcomed. She knows us by our first names. She's the best!! The food is fantastic, and the experience is even better. Sushi chef greets you and says goodbye. You can feel the love when you dine here! Definitely recommend giving it a try!! Our must haves: Fried calamari, it's a small portion but made to perfection.Beef teriyaki - order the dinner portion instead of app and it comes with tempura shrimp and vegetables!The nigiri: especially tuna and salmon! Their tamago is also elite.

What a hidden gem! It doesn't get more authentic than this Japanese restaurant. Not the best ambiance, but it's all about the authentic Japanese and fresh sushi.
