What a great find fantastic food prices and service. Low prices most meals under 10 Bucks for the Win. A master on the flattop Jorge Spanish nickname be Horhey got mad skills, his name is mentioned in a few reviews. I got the Horhey Club Supreme OMG delicious and a mega deal come with a cup of Soup only 8 bucks. She had the Double Smothered Chicken with Green Beans, Salad and Fries Wonderful. I added the Appetizer Platter only 7 bucks lowest price ever. This really is a great family run restaurant, we'll try again when in area. Be sure to say hello to Horhey , I told owner not to let him get away. #frontstreetdiner @frontstreetdiner #smotheredchicken #clubsandwich #appetizerplatter #lowprices #monroemi #diner #downriverfriendseat

My wife and her friend went there a couple months ago and had a poor experience. She and I gave them another chance today. Seated quickly and the waitress was there promptly. Kept the order simple. A Reuben and a chili dog. My Reuben was a bit soggy. Not toasted long enough. The coleslaw side was good. But. The chili dog was not good. The bun was quite stale. And the dog itself was not hot. And there was no tater tots- they were out. The waitress was good and very apologetic. Not her fault. Overall disappointment. Won't be going back.

Packed for breakfast but worth the wait. Our first time coming to this place but I've heard food things. Very quick to get a seat and to be waited on. The place had a lot of regulars, and the servers were wonderful. I got a breakfast special and a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy to split. A lot of room for a group or two, or if you're coming in like I was for a quick bite. They also have good dessert (from what I seen on another table )Would love to check this place out for lunch.

Sadly we walked in and seen two large tubs of what we thought were dirty water that we asked not to sit next to, and they said NOPE, ice tea, without lids, pretty sure that's a health code violation, reached for the salt, two, not one, but two long hairs one it... ugh... food was ok, but nothing to come back for, it was suggested to us as a "Special" lol bill came and it was only Fifty cents off the regular price! really? I would have been embarrassed to call it a special!! Sadly will not be back....

I tried the meatloaf which I wasn't impressed with. I think it was and tasted like a frozen dinner meatloaf for double the price. Not mention I think the Mashed potatoes might have been instant with canned gravy. I certainly would not purchase this item again. The salad that came with my meal was good. I have heard they have a good breakfast so might try that soon and add on to my review. The restaurant shares a bathroom with Subway next door through a back door. The restaurant was clean except for a back room with door open looked filthy. Probably should keep that door closed. I thought they were to be a little pricey for the quality of food received. Fair size in portions. Staff was friendly.

This is an amazing place to eat in Monroe. Family owned and operated and great food and customer service. Food is made to order with daily specials and nice sized portions at a great price. Good family friendly atmosphere. And they have amazing coffee and keep the refills flowing!

.Bought a cod dinner to go, portions were very small. Beans in a to go salad dressing cup, 3 pieces of fish was the size of 2 inches by 1 1/4. Mashed potatoes was ok sized, side salad ok. Was totally shocked because this was one of my favorite places , portions for the fish dinner have really changed . Bought this for my adult son and was so embarrassed to hand him a child size dinner. Turkey dinner was good .Chicken breast dinner was good.Really love the wait staff .

This was my first time in this establishment and how very disappointed . The owner had no face mask on my entire visit and the cook and wait staff had only on chins . Guest came in with no mask. We are in a pandemic. I will never return .

I've been here a few times now, so I think it's time to get this place on Yelp...Service here for the most part has been pretty good. There's lots of staff around and they are quick to come to your table. However, staff don't seem to return to the table very often. Maybe too busy? Don't know.Food here isn't bad, but in particular, I've found that my "super club" sandwich was very small for how much it cost. It was the tiniest club sandwich I think I've ever had. It was hot, too, which I found odd. That's not the way I usually have a club. The gravy I had on my biscuits one time was really good, but they give you a small biscuit split on the plate and then an entire plate of gravy. There was enough gravy there for either three more biscuits, or put less gravy on there. Really odd.Eggs weren't bad, but they weren't fluffy and light. If you like your scrambled eggs a bit more cooked, you'll like these. Anything else has been average. I think that's the general trend of this place... average. They do have daily specials, and they post them to Facebook which is great. However, this all seems to come in streaks. They'll post specials for days at a time, then go a month without ever posting anything. They offer takeout, but no real menu online, just pictures of the menu which I'm not even sure if they're up-to-date. Front Street Diner could really use some help in the tech and marketing departments.I'll return, and it's worth a visit for anyone, but don't expect to be wowed.
