Nice, fun casual spot for Cuban street food - delicious food! Be prepared to wait in line! This is a popular spot. Service moves efficiently so you won't be waiting too long. The team at this spot deliver food to your table, which is a nice aspect of eating in at this spot. Each table has dominoes which you can use to play a game with people at your table, if you're feeling social. ;)

The Ann Arbor location is far better than this one. First of all there were no trash cans in this place which is just odd unless they want people to just leave the scraps out. I've been to the Ann Arbor location once and I loved it so much, so I decided to stop at this place, get takeout and head home as I was downtown. The person taking my order was awkward and didn't say a word to me. I ordered my Frita and said "with everything on it" as in like what comes with it. I got home and there's a whole bunch of things in it and there was an egg with the yolk melting and oozing into my food which immediately was disappointing bc It's not my personal taste. I think this person who took my order took it to the extreme literal sense and put ALL toppings in the entire restaurant onto my frita bc that's how soggy and packed it was. It's partially my fault for saying "everything on it" but again he didn't speak a word to me -just stood there like a robot, this confusion could have been avoided if it was better customer service. Also i remember the menu board, the said things that were on my frita when i got home were under the "ADD ONs" section. I like the food in general but ill stick to Ann Arbor

Awesome food here. The chorizo frita is soo good as is the fish frita. Garlic fries are on point and the coconut batido and churro is a must try. Good service as always and really cool fun decor. Definitely a must try.

The food was good here. I would definitely recommend the fries. The sandwich is also filled with fries as well FYI. I got the hibiscus mojito type of drink which was ok. The seating is super causal and there isn't too much seating in general . However, the area around the restaurant is very cute tho!

Delicious! The burger with the red sauce from the table was so saucy and greasy and good! I loved every bite of the delicious chorizo burger with cheese and egg added on top. The cheese idk if is essential but the egg is. Once it oozes the yolk it really amplifies the burger. The coconut cream shake is incredibly refreshing. Nice service. Bright windows that light up the whole place. Right by the tigers game and better than anything inside.

Always amazing and fresh, soft. Always hits the spot. First time trying the downtown place, usually go to the Ann Arbor location. The service is always excellent as well. The place has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating.

As avid fans of Frita's, we've frequented the Ann Arbor location numerous times. However, our recent visit to the Detroit branch was our first. The service was prompt, and the ambiance was delightful. We particularly appreciated the framed Frita Detroit shirt on the wall. The star of the show, though, was undoubtedly the Hibiscus batido. We also ordered burger and garlic cilantro fries. Each bite was a mouthwatering, and full of flavor. We opted for the beef burger paired with the garlic cilantro fries, and plantains. All the items exceeded our expectations, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next Frita's experience. The only reason I gave this takeout experience a four stars and not five stars is because they honestly got our order incorrect, and we didn't realize it until we left the place. Nevertheless, the items were all delicious. The manager did reach out to me and apologized. Thank you for reading our reviews. I changed my review to 5 stars for great customer satisfaction.

This was my first time eating Cuban . I got the fish sandwich. It was chopped up fish with some great seasoning . I added the cheese to it. This was a really good sandwich and I'd definitely recommend getting it. Seasoned really good and cheesy , I loved it!!! I'd go again.

really delicious cuban food in a modern and light setting! the menu is very fun and straightforward - first, you choose a frita (burger/meat and style) and then a batido (drink) and lastly any sides. i got a chicken frita and made it "loco", which added some toppings. it was very hearty and filling! the loaded plantains had a bunch of toppings and not that much actual plantain - i felt that i was eating a ton of beans. i also ordered a churro which was the perfect small dessert. just one churro is really big, i would recommend sharing it! it is a cakey type of churro (not your typical light/airy churro) so a bit unexpected but very delectable. overall, i have heard that this is a michigan staple and i can see why! i would highly recommend stopping by!
