Fresh Bean Coffee

We found this great place not far from our hotel. The coffee has great taste and the the staff is very helpful. We visited here multiple times when we either needed a pick me up or wanted to try something new. The place itself looks to be a work in progress, but it still has some nice tables and a great little outside seating area.

This was a terrible decision to go to this place !!!!They over charged me for too tea as the tea is advertised for $5.75. I got two teas which should've came out to around $12 instead of came out to almost $19 because they charged me for light ice I asked the young lady that worked there why wasn't so much and she said the owner did not like when people ask for light ice and to charge more because he loses more product I just found this disturbing and I will not be going back to a money hungry individual place of ownership embarrassing

Claimed to be sold out most items: almost every single tea, oat milk, pastry display was lacking. Told us they were in stock of the drangonfruit tea and then had to refund us because they were out. What's the point of being open if you have no items?

The staff was super kind and offered to add more thai tea in my thai tea brown sugar boba! But for the price, i've paid for way better thai tea drinks. The flavor was lackluster! I won't be back but still a good experience.

I recommend this coffee shop. Every drink I have tried is yummy here, and as far as any downfall is, there is normally only one batista doing all the drinks. I do feel bad for them . So do expect to wait a moment for your drinks. But it's worth the wait !

Given the name, I wasn't expecting Fresh Bean Coffee Co. to have boba, but I saw them offering the drink during the Made in Michigan Festival in Allen Park. After doing some more research, I saw that the owner was from Vietnam and also owned several drink shops there. That definitely had me intrigued and I decided to go to their main store location to try it out. Sweet Tiger Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, w/ Boba ($6.95) - This is prepared with more like a traditional Vietnamese Coffee vs. a normal milk tea. They have a premixed mixture of tea, condensed milk, and creamer, which they add additional sugar syrup to. Since the boba is soaked in brown sugar, that adds extra sweetness as well. As a result, even at 50% sweet, this drink was very sweet, probably similar to 100% at other shops. Because of the addition of condensed milk, the drink feels quite rich and decadent. Although to one detriment - all the sweet milky flavor completely covers up any semblance of tea taste. I actually ended up brewing some cheap black tea at home and added it to the drink. The drink isn't filled to the brim - they leave about a half inch gap to the top and the tiger stripes (made from carefully ladling the boba and brown sugar syrup) aren't nearly as well defined as what you would see from specialty boba shops. The boba itself is just okay - pretty hard and firm without a great chew. To be fair, this review is only for the boba - and it's not bad. It just didn't stand out to me all that much, other than the usage of condensed milk. I'm sure the coffee here is fantastic given the other reviews and I bet the Vietnamese coffee is solid.

The work day brought me to this area and I'm glad I stopped by. There was a group of seniors enjoying the early morning with their newspapers and coffee. I had the Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious. The barista explained what made it Vietnamese and he did some voodoo back there and prepared it for me. It was the perfect refreshing and sweet drink to start my day.

I can only speak about the dry bland muffin I had this morning, so dry that the bread actually stuck to the muffin paper. I made the mistake of also getting a jasmine milk tea, the boba was gross and rubbery. The gals at the register weren't much help, I asked what a "tiger milk tea" was and one of the girls just said "it's tea mixed with stuff" ummm ok? Maybe I'll give this place another try and order a simple latte but definitely not coming for the milk tea.

Was disappointed about a boba tea shop that doesn't have green tea. Apparently, as one other reviewer said, they have a pre-mix of black tea that they just add different flavored syrups. Some else in our party wanted an iced Vietnamese coffee and they were unable to make that as well. There were 5 in our party and all we ended up with was 1 small black coffee. We then went to another drive-thru coffee shop in Trenton where they were very accommodating. Five thumbs down for Fresh Bean.

Do not cross certain invisible lines in this establishment. Otherwise good place to chill
