Lovely husband and wife team cooking up all the "soul" food staples (Mac and cheese, collard greens, beans, fried chicken, corn bread etc) just no flavour. Everything looks delicious but then again looks are deceiving. Chicken was beyond dry, pinto beans has a strange taste like too much bay leaves and Mac and cheese was off. I wanted to love this place as I have a penchant for Cajun food. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. 3 stars for the service alone. I threw out majority of the food.

I stopped here after going down the road and seeing it. I was wondering what a restaurant called the French Quarter was and what they had. On entering it is a take out place. You can see the food at the counter behind a glass. They had grilled chicken, fried chicken, spicy chicken, greens, corn, black eyed peas, Mac n cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, gumbo and more. They Also have peach cobbler. I'm pretty picky and the food is tasty and good. It is seasoned well. The greens and Mac and cheese had a great taste. The peach cobbler could have had a little more moisture but overall it tasted good. The baked cajun chicken was also prepared well. Overall, great meal. I an on going back.

Friends of ours have been raving about this place for awhile. They are a bit more expensive than some of our go-to places but I don't mind paying if it's truly better product. This is also a bit out of our way drive wise so we did not immediately try it. Finally on a boring Saturday we pulled the trigger.The chicken did not look all that impressive when we got it home. I started eating it and thought hmmm. We got the spicy of course but it was a slow burn. The more I ate it the more I enjoyed it. Not terribly coated, if extra crispy is your vibe this is not for you. The coating was crisp but thin and the chicken, even the white meat, was juicy and flavorful. That slow burn spice was just happiness.We got wedges to go with. Yikes. Holy undercooked meh. Skip them. The biscuits were slightly better but entirely forgettable. No worries though, we just ate more chicken. We will return but we will be sticking to just chicken for sure.

They totally ripped me off. I ordered 8 piece family meal 2 pieces of each spicy. Instead they gave me some crap 5 drum sticks and 2 thighs. Couldn't tell if they were spicy or not. I didn't know this until I got home or would have had it corrected. I hate dark meat I was starving after a long day at work couldn't wait to get home and eat some fried chicken. I've eaten here numerous times without a problem but all it takes is once. I called them and let them know they weren't to concerned so I hung up and wasted $30 on chicken. This really sucks I hate leaving bad reviews, but in this case I have to. So be warned check your to go

All the food is ready fast, tastes homemade, and is reasonably priced. I love grabbing a couple of sides with the chicken. These are probably the best beans I've ever had.
