Frank's Family Pizzeria

This place is underrated here on Yelp, we've been here many times and Frank's never disappoints, is always great and the Italian dishes are great as well. My wife's been a Pizza Chef going on 35 years and this place is her choice for pizza, the dough is good, the toppings are distributed evenly over the pie.Give Frank's a try if you're in Wyandotte your won't be disappointed.

We had heard many things about Frank's, so we decided to try it tonight. We started with a house salad with supposed homemade dressing, but it seemed to be straight up yellow Kraft Italian. We ordered a regular pizza with pepperoni, bacon, onion, and Italian sausage. We probably should have ordered a meat lovers pizza and had them take off the ham as the toppings were $10.Overall, a pretty good pizza. The crust was very good. I would get it again, but I prefer other pizza parlors in the area better.

Average. Had a four corner Frank's Special pizza. It was nothing spectacular. Waitress was aloof and luckily other waitresses were stopping by her tables to perk things up. Was hoping for a cool retro Frank's experience and it just didn't happen.

We ordered two large pizzas to-go. Once we got home, we thought they forgot the pizza sauce, cheese and onions since we didn't see any on the pizza. Also there were a few specks that were supposed to pass as mushrooms and paper thin pepperonis. I called to verify if we had to request pizza sauce and cheese? They said they come with it and didn't offer a refund which was preferred when I said ours are missing it! Instead they offered to make us two more. We declined, threw the pizzas away and ordered a pizza from Sportsman Den. We hadn't been to Frank's in many years. They used to have great pizza but wasn't our recent experience.

We've been in Wyandotte just over a year and I this was our first time there. I'm a late seventies/80's baby and the vibe in this place is amazing. It screams "real" Real food, laid back, clean environment. The staff was kind and attentive. We had family style salad and a custom pizza that was incredibly good. Pricing is very reasonable and we will be back often. I asked about private parties because the size of this pizzeria is perfect for that. I would totally host something here. Right downtown and the parking was easy.They even have a great little bar that had me feeling nostalgic. Absolutely loved our experience.

First off, my waiter was wearing baggy sweatpants though he was polite.The meatballs were lukewarm. I will not be going back.

Food was excellent. Waitress was non existent after taking our order. I asked if she went home early. Basically, had to track down the hostess for the rest of our stay. Very disappointed. Will not recommend to others nor be coming back due to poor waitstaff.

Such a sad review for me to write!I've been eating Frank's pizzas since the 1970s so I know how it should taste, and initially when the new guys took over, they did a pretty good job of keeping the quality and taste the same.Not any more. I received a gift card for Xmas and have ordered two pizzas since then. Both were just plain bad. The sauce is different and the dough is over-proofed; I don't think they are using good quality high gluten flour. We make pizza at home, so we know good dough and this ain't it.Tonight's pizza was the last straw. I ordered a small round with bacon and pepperoni. She handed me a box and shame on me - I didn't open it to check. No bacon. It looked and tasted like an older pepperoni pie they stuck in a box; pies used to be handed over piping hot.Maybe the owners that took it over should spend more time there honoring the commitment they made when they bought the restaurant, because it's really REALLY gone down hill.

Hands down our favorite pizza place! The pan-square pizza is crispy and loaded with toppings. All the servers are hard working and cheerful. We really haven't tried anything else but pizza because it's so good. A great family restaurant!

Love both the round and deep dish pizzas. The only thing we didn't like is the garlic bread. It was way over cooked and bottom was burnt to a crisp.
