We don't live close to Dearborn so we usually stop by the two most "popular" bakeries, but boy am I glad I went here instead today. I finally saw it while driving and let me tell you -- forget ALL the other bakeries and come to this one!!!Where do I begin? First - everything is freshly made. You can call ahead if you're in a huge rush and don't want to wait, but for all we ordered, we only probably waited for 5 minutes or less. I saw the fresh dough with all the fresh toppings immediately and was left in shock. All the other bakeries around this area have stock piles of pre-made things that they simply "re-heat" for you. It ends up giving a stale taste to the baked goods.Second - the owner is so kind and hospitable. He waved at us when we pulled in, made suggestions, and was super friendly. Another young lady who worked there was super kind and hospitable as well. Some other locations around this area treat you like you're bothering them if you ask questions... but not here. These are good, kind people. And lastly - everything turned out even more delicious than we could have imagined. The dough was so soft and fluffy, the meat tasted delicious and fresh, the cheese was gooey. I'm never going to another bakery again when we drive out here!

This is the most authentic Arab bakery anywhere. We used to drive from Joliet to Dearborn to eat there. My wife ordered me a package of baked goodies for my birthday. We are now in Portland OR. I really want to take a vacation to Dearborn just to eat there. Don't expect a fancy seating area. There are only few chairs.

Very rude, the owner overcharged for an order I didn't make and then blamed me for it.I tried to give this place another shot so my friend ordered for both of us, and he got confsed between a spinach pie and a za3tar, and yelled at my friend for not clarifying it. Really bad customer service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . If you want a shitty treatment this is your place to go..

A small bakery shop in the stripe mall at south-west corner of Warren and Schaefer. It doesn't look like much from outside, equally non-stylistic inside except for the assuring presence of a large brick tunnel oven in the middle of the room; you know it's the right place to get good bread. Zaatar bread (some call it "pizza") is my favourite, and Fordson's is one of the best. The thin bread is beautifully charred and crisp at the bottom, pillowy soft and airy dough is topped with a good amount of the tastiest zaatar (a blend of sesame seeds, thyme, marjoram, oregano, and other spices, and olive oil). Smells wonderful, tastes even better. There is a small eat-in counter and a few stools, but this is mostly a take-out place. Give it a try.

Out of the hundred bakeries in Dearborn, this one is my favorite. The family owners are very nice and if you ask them to make something well done, they do it! I like to get my zaatar, cheese, and meat made thinner than the usual thick dough. In Arabic it's called "mashrouha." Their Danishes and spinach pies tasted like my mothers. Amazing.

Anytime I come to Michigan I come here. I had the zaatar manoosh, the lahme one and the spinach pies. Everything was tasty and fresh. I love this place and will always come back

Don't go here. Everything is expired, they smoke on top of the dough and food they are baking. They leave their ingredients in the bathroom right next to the toilet. All of the food is expired. The meat stinks. Trust me, what you see on the outside is a lie! Everything is molded, even the refrigerators.

I came here for the first time today to buy 4 cheese pies for my mother (she often buys the 4 and gets 1 free from here). I saw the price written in arabic (no English -- lucky for me, I read Arabic), and it was listed as $2.00 per cheese pie. Expensive, but that's fine. I placed my order, and the owner asked me if I would like mixed cheese or just one kind of cheese -- a simple enough question. I told him "whatever tastes better".Next thing I know, I am being charged $14.00 for these four pieces of bread with some cheese on them. I didn't want to be rude, so I paid and left without doing the math in my head. When I left the shop, I realized that $14.00 equates to $3.50 per piece of bread with cheese on it! And I was never told this "mixed cheese" would cost $1.50 more, and the price is NOT listed anywhere in the shop.I returned and told the baker that he tricked me. Though I was upset, I did not raise my voice, and I remained polite. I told him that he did NOT tell me the price of these "mixed cheese" pies, and I was under the impression from the price on the wall that they were $2.00. This man has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. He began to yell at me in front of the other customers!!! I was embarrassed, and I asked him to keep his voice down so we could continue to talk about this, and he told me that I was the one that cheated him. When I asked him the questions "Did you tell me that these mixed cheese pies would cost more?" and "Is the price for these more expensive pies listed anywhere?" he answered "No" both times, and still had the gall to tell me I was trying to cheat him.He did NOT refund my money, and told me he was doing me a "favor" by giving me the difference in money and giving me the $2.00 pies while taking the other order back. He said "This is a favor -- what restaurant on earth would take food back after you have already left with it?" I don't care about other restaurants -- I was talking to HIM at that time about HIS deception in order to get more money out of me.What was it all worth??? What was the point in making me as a customer feel bad, and yelling at me in front of everyone, when you were the one that made the error? There is NO WAY I could know those prices if that was the first time I'd been there and they are not advertised anywhere, and he KNEW THAT!! So who was cheating whom?I will never go there again, and if you are reading this, I urge you to never go there again either. The only way this man will ever learn the importance of being FAIR and making sure the CUSTOMER is satisfied is if actions like this cause a decline in his business. He is in the SERVICE industry - and from my experience, the service he is dishing is one that I will no longer be willing to pay for (or ever consider again).
