Flavors of Jamaica

Food was 4 out of 5. Service was 2 out of 5. Hence, the 3 star review. I drove from Troy, about 25 minutes, to try this place as I was craving some Jamaican food. I placed an online order at 12:10pm and they opened at 12pm. I get a phone call at 12:19pm informing me that they ran out of the wings, which I appreciated the phone call, but really? Ran out after 20 minutes of opening? I would say that's bad inventory management. Regardless, I still wanted to try the oxtail dinner. I arrive at like 12:30pm and am told that my order will still be awhile because they had a stack of orders to get to and mine was the last of it. This would have been good information to share when I was already on the phone with them, because if it's true my order came in after all the others, then they should've know this when they called me to tell me that they ran out of wings. Whatever, so I wait. Another 10 minutes later, I'm told that they ran out of collard greens and I need to pick another side item. Cabbage it is. I finally get my order and leave at 1pm. Good customer service would have offered maybe a free drink, an extra side item, or something! I got an apology. It's too bad because when I finally got home and tried the food, it was indeed solid. I would go back if I'm absolutely craving Jamaican food again as I haven't found anything near me that tastes as good, but that good taste was tarnished a bit by the poor service.

Stopped by today on my way home for some take out. Wanted to try some place local and different. I ordered the Shrimp Rasta Pasta and let me tell you... it's fantastic! Super fresh , just enough heat and a HUGE serving! Will definitely be back!

Absolutely phenomenal food! Had loaded Mac (with jerk chicken) that was probably the best I've ever had. Jerk shrimp was spot on and the helping was huge. Server was kind and helpful and the owner even stopped by to wish greetings. Cozy decor inside that gave a feel of Jamaica. Will be back again and again!

Whewwwwwww!!!! Hidden gem!!! Food was delicious and portions very generous. Ate 1/2 for lunch and the remainder for dinner! I will definitely be back for more!

HOLY MOLY. It was so so so good. Lots of vegan choices - I got the poutine with jackfruit and vegan cheese. Also the plantains. We loved that it is small and the guy was very nice. The people next to us sounded like they visited every week. For us, it was exceptional (better hot than left over) but a bit pricy for lunch. We will go back often.

Thier menu now says chicken on the bone, so i didn't order the jerk chicken lunch, I ended up ordering the jerk chicken tacos which had shredded jerk chicken a habanero aioli and a slaw on them and they were delicious. I usually don't like beans and rice but these were so flavorful, that my second visit here I moved my four star review up to a five star because of the tacos.

Just a great experience.The decoration, music and overall vibe was very inviting.The menu is a great variety of Jamaican favorites.The drinks are wonderful.The jerk chicken was spiced just right and the rice was wonderful.The owners were very friendly.Prices are reasonable and we will be back!

"Flavors" of Jamaica is the right name for this place. The food is so full of flavor, absolutely delicious. The Rasta-Pasta is amazing! Check it out, seriously. You'll love it :)

Visited for the first time yesterday, food was delicious, service was great, prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was pleasant , the lighting was just right for me. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Outstanding!Highly recommended.My family and I arrived very shortly after the restaurant opened and were greeted very warmly and welcomed into a very comfortable dining area with just the right amount of Jamaican decor to give an authentic feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us as we were first timers here and first timers for Jamaican cuisine. The house made Ginger Beer was satisfyingly snappy, the Curry Chicken was deliciously rich and the Jerk Chicken had just the right amount of that Scotch Bonnet pepper spice to satisfy those folk who like a kick in the taste buds without getting overwhelmed. The mix of exotic flavor's, aromas and a little heat was amazing.We all agreed that Flavor of Jamaica was now going to be a regular spot for us.
