First Place Lounge

This is a dive bar, but a nice one. A bit of an oxymoron, but that's what's great about this place. I've only been here on Thursdays for the open jam music night, but I really like the vibe. The bartender(s) have always been nice, the drink prices are low, and the patrons are friendly. I come to see me friends play in their band which means there are lots of musicians there waiting to jump in, and it's fun talking to them and getting a musical education on various aspects of the blues and other instruments. I learned all about harmonicas last week from an expert player.You can sit at the bar or the high top tables. They have tv's and of course the requisite smoking area out back. Parking is out front or in back. I always have one of the guys walk me to my car since the area is a bit sketch.Stop in for open jam night even if you don't play - or better yet, bring your instrument if you do play - you'll enjoy the great music - mostly blues - and meet some fun people.

Amazing place to enjoy good jerk chicken, steak, tacos, drinks and great music!!!! Can I give 10 stars?

Clean bar with super nice bartenders. Ice cold drafts. I loooove ice cold drafts.Great beer and wine prices. I haven't gotten a cocktail so I'm not sure about that. It has a sporty feel with a few tvs placed through out so you can see one from pretty much every seat. Has a pool table. They have great cheeseburgers and people's pierogi collective pierogis!Note: there's parking in the back.

This is a wonderful neighborhood bar. Being new to this part of town, I'm so grateful we found this place. Comfortable, welcoming, friendly and filled with people who truly will be your second family. Love, love love and more love.

the bar where everyone knows your name you can get a drink and always get a seat at the bar, without a hassle. drinks are not very expensive it's clean and they also have great bar food, the bartenders are really nice and friendly.

It's Detroits finest secret - Amazingly Kind and generous folks there. The best music around on Thursdays! Best Jam night as well! It's where the best musicians come to hang with each other. A family bar where everybody knows each other and if you're new you will leave there feeling like you know everybody and want to come back! Oh and the Jerk Chicken is out authentic Jamaican Style.

The New York Strip special on Tuesday is fabulous and a great value! Delroy is working the grill and makes your steak to order. Although I am likely in the minority, I love my steak blue rare and Delroy doesn't disappoint.Overall, the bar has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful group of people who regularly come to hang out.
