Farmington Diner

This was a toughie ...You guys know that if the service is good, you could serve me gravy on plywood and rank five stars. However, ...The place was amazingly clean considering how busy it was. No spills. There was a guy steady cleaning the entranceway. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had high hopes.The menu was impressively full, offering you standard coney type deals, breakfasts, and "blue plate" type dinners.Pimp and I decided to go "balls deep" and try something different from what we would usually order from this type of diner. The Chicken Marsala sounded amazing. Our server said it was awesome and it was made to order. Pimp went for it. What he got was ... let's just say, this was his first time trying it, and he's forever ruined from trying it again, ... from anywhere.The chicken was chopped up with vegetables and a soupy sauce. It was probably one of those quick Campbell soup recipes. But it had one major problem: Chicken Marsala is supposed to have Marsala wine (or if you're cheap, a shot of Mad Dog). This had nothing. (Look up the Campbell soup recipe; even it calls for wine.) The presentation was awful. I tasted it and was immediately disappointed (because I told him to get it.) A complete embarrassment.Thinking they could be redeemed, I ordered a Chicken Gyro Pita. Oy vey ...The chicken was dry. No seasoning whatsoever. The only thing that made it close to being a gyro was the tzatziki sauce. And close was what it was. The sauce was bland. Cucumber and yogurt and nothing else. They say you don't buy egg rolls from a taco joint. Places like this are the reason why.The bill for this ... definitely a waste of money. The two stars are for the server and guy cleaning (they would get 5 if the food was halfway decent.)

The very first thing you notice is the wonderful aroma in the parking lot; it would be hard to stop and not go in.The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is solid. Nothing fancy, but tasty. Prices have gone up significantly from what is on their website, but they are in line with what other similar diners charge. Definitely worth a stop.

Needed lunch in the area and didn't have a taste for anything in particular. I said "Let's just go to a diner!" That was agreeable enough to my wife, so looked on Yelp for the closest one and found this.I ordered a gyro sandwich with chicken lemon rice soup and my wife got a burger with fries. The soup came first and I will say it was like no other chicken lemon rice soup I've had--it was thick and pasty, so much that I couldn't make out hunks of rice or chicken. Flavor was OK, but I felt like I was eating a bowl of lemon mush. Lighter hand on the cornstarch, please.The gyro was certainly large. Gyro meat wasn't that savory, but was good enough in the circumstances. Which was about what my wife said about her burger.

Parents and I dined here about twice during AM shift between 9am and 11am - our waitress was great. There's were about two people serving which they held up party nicely; we weren't in a rush or anything, so a little wait didn't hurt. Plus whom wants FAST FOOD - a little wait is ok because you know it's freshly made.I will say i totally forget what i had but i do believe it was a country style omelet and it had white gravy over it with biscuit - WHATEVER IT WAS IT'S GONE. Lol! I killed it and my father definitely enjoyed his - he also rated it a 5 star as well and now he hits this place after a doctor appointment.Keep up the great job.Happy Eating!!!

A great place for breakfast. Friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices. I have not been there for other meals.

My husband, and I, go to Farmington Diner 2 or 3 times a month. We've eaten all three meals there. The food is always great and the waitresses are always friendly. They say "hello" when customers walk in and tell them to take a seat. We don't have to wait long to get a menu, give her our order and receive our food. If we see people we know, we may stay a little longer. We make sure not to if people are waiting for a table. The diner is always a welcoming place to eat and visit with other patrons. No complaints here!

I just had breakfast and I can't believe that they charged 14.04 dollars for the French toast breakfast, the little toast is as big as English muffins in size two eggs and two sausage links with coffee. It's been a long time since I've felt so ripped off by a simple meal. I will NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!

Not good- just reheated processed food. Stick with the breakfast offerings. Server was nice. Ordered fish & chips dinner- yuck-just frozen stuff fried up- inside was still cold

Really good food breakfast was wonderful. The waitress was so nice and the waitress came to see about you.

Literally used to eat here every week. I ordered a year ago and there was hair in my food. Yesterday I ordered my usual order. When I got to the restaurant I was charged for vegetables I didn't order, my food had to be remade and when I got the remake I gave half to my husband and when we were eating there was small black hairs in my food. Literally disgusting wasted my $20 on a crispy chicken wrap no mayo add onion with onion rings. Elma is the only person who gets my order right every time and the one time she isn't working they were disgusting I will never return back here again. Funny part about it the owner himself cooked my food. Fucking nasty!
