Epicurus Restaurant of Wayne state

This place gives good memories of my undergraduate time at WSU. My friends and I would have a day we called "Epi-Wednesdays", where we would all go here and get like three pizzas and it'll come out to be only a few bucks from the each of us. The pizza is gooood dude. We usually got pepperoni with sides of ranch and Franks hot sauce. I recently came back here with a few friends to get the pizza, and no surprise it's still damn good. The best deal on campus for groups of people, esp if you are with a group of people who need to eat by a certain time because they have class. Food comes out fast and it's filling. The guys who run it are always super nice and welcoming, never got bad vibes or anything. Haven't ventured out to anything else besides the pizza- next time I'll get the bacon burger.

This place was the best in the prior years. You used to be able to walk in and buy a slice of pizza and they had it made and ready. If you ask if they have slices ready they will tell you yes but than after ordering they say it will take 15 mins.

Plain and simple, this place is AWESOME! For all you non swine eaters, I strongly recommend you try Epicurus. I had not had a bacon burger in years, and all of a sudden, I am enjoying one of the best bacon burgers I have ever had. Strong family ties, high quality beef and some pretty good fries equates to a continued wonderful experience.I suggest this place for all my no pork peeps and those who are simply looking for a great meal at a non neck-breaking price. Stopped by for a quick lunch bite. We ordered a slice of pizza, a veggie sandwich, which was hot and quite tasty, and chocolate chip cookies, which usually sell out because they are so good. This a good spot to grab lunch.

Wayne State's best kept secret. I say that because I've been going here for years, ever since I've started college and no one really talks about it. Awesome blend of Mediterranean and "All-American" food. My go-to dish is the chicken shawarma, followed by the gyro platter, and a side order of chili-cheese fries. I guess you can compare this place to a mom and pop Coney Island, but this has much more. Their pizza is also pretty good.As far as the dining experience is concerned, it's a very "down-to-earth" joint. The staff are decent. They don't engage in conversations or anything, but they are polite. The service is very timely and the place itself is clean. Honestly, I have no complaints. I wouldn't rate this a 5-star because they don't necessarily go above and beyond, but they do have a wide variety of food for everyone.

I'm sure they do some stuff right since they have several positive reviews. I ordered a Greek salad with gyro neat. The lettuce was shredded iceberg, the olives were sliced canned black olives as opposed to kalamata, banana peppers instead of peperoncini, and there was maybe two ounces of overcooked gyro meat. It was $11. I would at have at least expected them to do a Greek salad as well as a typical coney island but it was probably one of the worst ones I've ever had. My girlfriends fries were overcooked in grease that should have already been changed and the honey mustard she ordered ended up being some weird mayo with a dash of honey and mustard.

It is your classic run of the mill joint. It has a Coney Island vibe to it and the food is good for a coney style joint. Food is cheap and perfect for a college student. Since it is close to campus, you'll find college students running as waiters so there is that connection with the staff. Seating wise, it is fine. Took my friend there and he also said it was nice. 3 stars because my grade scale is tough

Sometimes this place is great and sometimes it's awful. Or sometimes, like today, they mess up my order and then make me feel like Shit about it. Whatever. Glad I'm going to graduate soon.

Didn't like food at all... Order the Gyro pita combo, bacon cheese burger combo and coney total is $20.04.... However coney was good but gyro is full of lettuce and tomatoes but only few piece of lamb and no taste to it... How is it a bacon cheeseburger without bacon?, French fries and onion ring was soggy and they didn't give my drinks... I would never go back to this place or recommend anyone to go there... I took few bites and threw the food away

NOW OPEN under new ownership! Food selection is great and portions are generous!!! We had the beef kabobs and veggie samosas! Delish!! Definitely give them a try!!
