I was just introduced to this gem of a place. To me the indicator that food will be good when you see two types of menu American version and Traditional Chineese version. The place itself is big with extra private and semi private rooms for large gatherings, plenty of booth around, no frills but clean and tidy. All our waitresses have been great helpful and knowledgeable recommended certain dishes based on preference choices.Onto the food we have tried off of both menus, crab ragoon was perfectly crispy with nice balance of crab and cream cheese. General Tao chicken was lightly battered with good sauce, shrimp fried rice plenty of shrimp, beef lomein was flavorful. Off the traditional chineese menu we had: appetizers shredded cucumber with garlic sauce crunch and spicy went so well with fried rice. Wood ear in vinegar was a first but unexpectedly so good. Main dishes: Sautéed beef with scallions, spicy jumbo shrimp, fried whole fish with spicy black bean sauce to die for, and off the menu crawfish cooked in spicy sauce was off the charts. We also had traditional Chineese beer a very good light lager. This is my go to place from now on.

I'm sorry how much is your general chicken entree? And when I came back saying I didn't get rice, you charged me another how much for a quart of rice? Of course I paid the $8 for rice. I had no other choice. I thought it came with it. A dinner entree as just the course without any sides. Lo mein noodles are practically boiled egg noodles and thrown in a wok a few times with some basic soy sauce. Maybe I ordered from the wrong menu. I mean it was the ABC menu (American Born Chinese) where it was Americanized. (I can say this candidly as a Chinese person who has also worked in her own family business before my parents retired). The prices here are ridiculous for the amount of food they give you. The next time I had a craving for breaded Chinese chicken, I went to trader Joes and got the orange chicken mix for $5 and fed my entire family. If I want some basic Chinese next time I'll just hit up Panda express that has the same style of lo mein, but the food actually has flavor.

Updating to a 5/5.1) Dine in is truly a different experience than takeout/ delivery. The presentation of the dishes and quality is just better. For example, for the chicken dish it was in a hot pot which was nice.2) Truly a "chinese" feel inside. Spinning tables. Majority Chinese customers. Rolling carts. Employees bringing out massive amounts of food for themselves at closing time (lol, this is very typical of Chinese restaurants). Very accommodating for large group of friends. 3) Came with group and ordered: Steamed Pork Belly/梅菜扣肉Mouth-watering chicken (Kou Shui Ji, 口水鸡)La Zi Ji (Sichuan Mala Chicken, 辣子鸡)Suan Cai Yu (酸菜鱼, Sichuan Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens)that chicken dish in the picture (ye men ji? unsure name)Sichuan Eggplant Stir Fry (Yú Xiāng Eggplant, 鱼香茄子)All were authentic. All arrived relatively quickly. All were not too greasy/oily.All were not too saltyAll had good flavor. I stand by that if you want authentic Szechuan, this is a top contender in Michigan. If you are willing to pay $15-20ish per dish, you won't regret it. and dine in.

Empire Dynasty offers a solid experience for fans of Chinese cuisine. Their egg foo young is a standout, perfectly fluffy and rich in flavor. The sesame chicken is also commendable, with a crisp exterior and savory-sweet sauce that hits all the right notes. For those preferring a vegetarian option, the ginger veggie dishes are both fresh and flavorful, showcasing a thoughtful balance of ingredients and seasoning. Additionally, their carry-out service is efficient and reliable, making it a great choice for enjoying quality Chinese food at home. Overall, Empire Dynasty delivers consistently good dishes and is a dependable option for both dine-in and take-out! Five stars all day

Food: Authentic Chinese food. 疙瘩汤 Sandong seafood soup tastes very traditional and huge in portion. Ordered it as a non spicy option for my kid and he loved it. Good variety inside including shrimp and egg. The chicken appetizer 口水鸡 is mediocre. Good taste and good portion size, chicken is a mixture of some tender some dry. Whole fish 豆瓣全鱼 tastes amazing, just kinda small consider that it's ~$30. Was told it's an alive fish to begin with though, so maybe the price is justified? Spicier than I expected, but great flavor and savory for sure. Kidney 火爆腰花 is pretty good. Nice flavoring and definitely has a kick to it. Also has a good variety of veges. Price: moderate to high. Total is $80+ before tip (that's 1 appetizer, 1 soup, 2 entrees, rice is $1 per bowl) Ambiance: Nice, clean, very busy Service: Hit or miss. Everyone there are super friendly, especially the owner! They are just incredibly busy sometimes, we never got our water before food, for example Overall excellent food and traditional Shandong style. You don't see many Shandong style restaurant in the Midwest.

The crab Rangoon was very good. The General Taos chicken was soggy. Not good. The chicken was good but the coating fell off. I would not recommend based on this experience. My first time ordering here.

I went with my two coworkers (Native Chinese) and the Food was AMAZING! They were so impressed as well- everything was fresh and very tasty. The garlic green beans are a must!!! Perfectly made and so flavorful! Not pictured is the beef with scallions dish- which was also delicious! They also have a wide variety in their menu, per my coworkers it includes most of the different regions of Chinese cuisine.Apart from their traditional menu they have a more Americanized one too, which is perfect and still just as authentic and delicious. 100% recommend this place- we will be coming back in this trip. Service was great too- very happy with this place overall
