Empire Chinese Restaurant

FANTASTIC! I moved to Texas and they just do not make almond chicken like metro Detroit restaurants makes it. The portions were huge. 3 chicken fillets , high amount of rice with big chunks of pork. The egg roll was perfect. The only problem is they give too much food.. when I visit this will be my go to place.

Out of the 5 times I've ordered now only 2 meals are what I'd consider decent. The first time I ordered Moo Shu Chicken, terrible. Was not packaged correctly and saucy mess dripping out of the bag. Second time lunch special Moo Goi Gai Pan. That was okay. Third time dinner Moo Goo Gai Pan, this time salty uncooked pieces of chicken carelessly thrown together, just gross. Then, Pad Thai. First time okay. But the last time I paid almost $15 and there were many ingredients missing, advertised as having so just straight up lying to customers. No bean sprouts, no peanuts... and snarky counter person. There is a reason they post a "no refund" sign at the counter- because once you open the food at home often you find you didn't get what you expected. More often than not in my experience.

Worth the drive?..... I'd say so!We live out in Chesterfield area 23 and Jefferson, the ride is roughly 16mins or so and to by pass the other local Chinese Restaurants in the area was hard...We both ordered Almond Boneless Chicken Combo and side of Wanton Soup The location is off 16 in a strip mall hard to find unless your looking for it, the inside is small and clean from what I gathered... The restaurant seems to deal with mostly takeouts. The staff wasn't talkative just asked name and was on my way.The food was very good, we got the large Wanton Soup total of 8 wantons and the broth was very good came with the chips to put in the soup. Egg roll was large and packed with vegetables very flavorful, no sauce other than soy sauce. The main course of Almond Boneless Chicken was tender and light breading, the gravy was light and not heavy which had the normal brownish color. The rice was plentiful and taste good, found that it seemed very fresh and cooked through and through. You get plenty of chicken and for the mealFor every it was just little over $30I'd definitely like to try a few other dishes, so we will definitely check back in

I love their Almond Boneless chicken and egg drop soup. I love the crunchy noodles and the brown gravy that the combo comes with. It's always sotasty and you get a lot of food.

Empire is now under new management, but they seem to have kept on with what made this place good to begin with. The fried chicken in dishes like sweet & sour chicken is still excellent. But, check your bag before you leave, because two times in a row they forgot to put the sweet-and-sour sauce on the side like I asked. I got no sauce, and had to turn around and go back. But, they were nice enough to give me an eggroll for my troubles, so no harm done.I actually like their hot & sour soup better, but their wonton egg drop soup - which used to be a wonderful blend of egg drop soup with wontons and it - tastes...strange. Not just lacking salt, but actually somewhat bitter. But, one fantastic addition to the lineup is Pad Thai. I got mine with shrimp, and it was very good. It's a little bit short of my favorite Thai restaurant, but still very good.Their daily lunch specials are so unbelievably cheap, it's hard to go wrong. Still a frequent destination for good, reasonably priced Chinese food.

This restaurant is my go-to for fast, flavorful Chinese food. The sesame chicken combination plate is one of my favorites. I usually order shrimp fried rice to go with my dinner. Yummy!

Only been 3 time but never had a problem. Great yummy food and no bad customer service.

i'd have to say this is the best sesame chicken i've ever had. perfectly crunchy coating and the sauce is very flavorful. will be returning.
