DUO Restaurant & Lounge

DUO is the one!!!Meet up with friends for happy hour 5-7. Got drinks (2), potato skins and wings for $20 + plus tip! Music is on point. I'm about to be a regular.Went on a Tuesday, crowd was cool. No rah rah stuff! Bar area got full but never seemed packed or too overwhelming to manuever through. Out waitress was cool and served us at a high top. Was responsive with utensils, napkins, refills. I didn't stay for karoake but next time it's a must!

Went here last night! It was $10 per person to get in. I was surprised because I thought we were going to a restaurant so it didn't make sense to me!I arrived at 9:30pm. I actually joined a group but apparently they were done eating and just ordering more drinks. 20mins passed before my partner walked to the kitchen. We literally kept flagging staff down to order. When the waitress did come she explained that she thought we been here with the group. We had spoke to two other people looking for our waitress..I said to her that no one checked on the table since i arrived! I placed my appetizer, drink & both my partner & I entrée with her. Almost 30 minutes later, everything came out in togo boxes! I was totally confused because I did not ask for anything to be to go... The food was good, but I had to docker up the salmon burger & his Angus burger because they did not include the toppings on the burger as the menu said. The chicken bites appetizer was really small and is definitely not meant to be shared. The DJ was great. It was DJ base, but the staff and the service was really slow. then there is no Dancefloor so for them to be treating the place like a club is weird. The place was so full with people that it was a bit uncomfortable. you could barely walk or dance.

The music is great and the drinks are strong. Happy hour will save you a bunch here! Make sure you come early to park in the lot because it fills up fast!!!

I went here expecting food, but the kitchen closes earlier than expected. This place is definitely hopping and busy. There was a large Birthday party and people wall to wall. I'm not a real club type guy, but it was something different. Overall, drinks were good and friendly crowd.

The food and service is good but the music is far to loud. I don't understand why the level is so high.

I only got a drink because I kinda got stood up but the manager was super nice and I loved the atmosphere of the place!!!!!

The grilled salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes are sooooo good!!!! And happy for 5pm to 7pm Tuesday-Friday things are half off!!!

A nice spot to go to for happy hour. The Lady and I went and met some friends my first night back in Detroit. The happy hour menu is a beast. $5.00 drinks, beers and food. And not just the typical bar H. H. food. We're talking LOADED fries, every flavor of chicken wing, seasoned shrimp and other items . The staff was wonderful and the decor very cool. We also enjoyed the live band that performed also.

The bouncer was and IS rude. I mean, if I was a 40 year old bouncer, I'd probably have an attitude as well. I've never experienced such an unpleasant worker. I travel for a living and I wasn't intoxicated or carrying. This guy was just power struck... he said that I snatched my id from him and he's "not to be played with" so he denied me entry...

Duos has a very good atmosphere and a good vibe. It saddens me to share my experiences.Unfortunately, when you order top shelf liquor and they charge you premium prices and gratuity, you are served well liquor that makes you physically sick. Customers are entitled to get what they pay for. This bait and switch tactic is eventually going to damage their reputation and business.
