WOW! I've been wanting to try DropTop since they opened, but every time we go by, they're jammed. Now I know why! The food is amazing, we had the waffle fry appetizer, as well as their garlic Parmesan wings. Both were fantastic! I had a glass of Pinot noir, and it was really fresh, two at our table had their special sangrias, and another had a cocktail/spritz.For mains, of course we had to try their Detroit-style pizza, we had the "Joey's Favorite" with the cup & char pepperoni (yum), and the "Skylark". Both pizza's were fantastic, and perfect for sharing!Sabrina was our waitress, and she was one of the best waitresses that we've had in a long time, so thorough, approachable, and just great at her job. The service really added to the experience! We really loved the decor, paintings, photos, and bright colors, tying the whole theme together. If you're in Saline, within 30 minutes, or just driving through, you definitely need to stop by DropTop to get some great food! I was also thrilled to learn about their pickup spot. We will absolutely be back!

DropTop Pizza did not disappoint. Chef and owner, Joe Maino, opened DropTop in Saline alongside Jason Branham in the fall of 2024. Joe Maino worked under the late Shawn Randazzo at Detroit Style Pizza Company. In 2012, Shawn Randazzo was named "World Champion Pizza Maker" at the International Pizza Expo, so it's safe to say Joe Maino had a good mentor.Be warned, there will probably be a wait to dine in at DropTop during peak hours. The seating arrangement is a bit tight. I sat at the bar, and actually preferred that. The service was efficient and polite. To start, my wife ordered a margarita, and it was about what you'd expect. As for our appetizer, we ordered the pizza frita. This is a basket of fried Detroit-style pizza dough. FYI, there's a dessert version of this on the menu, too. I typically prefer ranch as my dipping sauce, but the marinara here was delicious. I enjoyed the pizza frita, but think I would've preferred the dipsticks (cheese bread). I was tempted by the fried artichokes and pesto wings, as well. For our entrees, my wife got the Oklahoma fried onion burger and I got the queen margherita pizza. The onion burger is a smash burger, and it was legit. The buns are made in house, and the patties were smashed perfectly. As for the pizza, it was one of the better Detroit-styles I've had locally. Like the burger buns, the Detroit-style pizza dough is processed in house. The pesto was a nice touch, and I added ricotta to it because, why not? Lastly, Blank Slate Creamery is located in Ann Arbor, but DropTop is the exclusive distributor of its ice cream in the city of Saline. Single scoops and pints are on the menu, but I opted for a shake. All of the shakes have a "recommended booze pairing." I got the Mackinac Island fudge shake, without booze. Shakes don't typically impress me, but this one was memorable. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience at DropTop, and will definitely be back!

This place just opened a few weeks ago I believe. We ordered pick up, and we were happy to see that DropTop was all that it was hyped up to be! They have quite a few unique pizzas, all detroit style. I ended up trying the fries on a pizza, it was the ricotta for me.... SO good. Also the cherry bourbon salted pretzel milkshake was . To go service was super quick, in and out within a minute. Only complaint is that the parking lot out back was super busy and full, hard to find a spot.

Stopped by on their first week of opening and it was POPPIN'! We love to see downtown Saline busy like this. The co-owners behind DropTop have cut their teeth a local spots like Maiz, Zingerman's Bakehouse/Roadhouse, Dixboro Project. They make whatever they can from scratch from their buns for their smashburgers to their pizza chili oil to all the salad dressings -- I feel that it makes a big difference! They also really pay attention to the details - the beer was served in a chilled glass and the salad plate was also chilled. Small but mighty details!!! We had the:*House Salad (tomato, cucumber, fried chickpea, carrot, red onion, mixed greens, dressing) - really simple but done well. The fried & seasoned chickpeas were a really nice touch! I also enjoyed the house vinaigrette. If you're REALLY hungry, you should probably get our own portion. My husband and I shared one so it was more like side salad portions. It was sooo hard to choose pizzas because they all sounded delish. They apparently put the sauce on AFTER they bake it which helps the texture and I could tell! It had allllll the Detroit Style crispy edges as expected! *FRIES ON A PIZZA? (waffle fries, broccolini, roasted garlic, cheddar, ricotta, scallions, bbq) - The ingredients were soo fresh on this. The broccolini was a perfect texture. The ricotta dollops on top added some addt'l flavor and temperature contrast. Really enjoyed this with the house made chili oil because the BBQ sauce was a little on the sweeter side. I started with this and we thought it balanced well with super savory & delicious Joey's favorite. *JOEY'S FAVORITE (cup & char pepperoni, roasted mushrooms, roasted garlic, parmesan, marinara) - just sooo classic. also, the fact that they use cup & char pepperoni...the elite of pepperonis...should be 'nuff said!! This one is going to be our go-to and then we'll wildcard our second pizza so we can try allll the flavors!! Some other tips:*Check online for their hours. They currently have limited hours and aren't open for HH yet. *Right now - come early! Apparently they've been selling out each night a couple hours before closing. *You can order online for pick up!

We had the margarita pizza and dough bites... both were delicious and very fresh. Our server was very friendly and attentive - he came around the perfect number of times. The ranch and the marinara sauce both tasted homemade. The wine list could use a little attention - specifically would like to see a NZ Sauv Blanc. Parking in back is limited, and spaces are pretty small... but that's downtown Saline for you. :) We were able to get a seat right away on a Thursday night at 7p, but it was pretty busy. The decor is clean and modern, but temperature-wise was quite cold. Overall enjoyable experience and would return.

Delicious food and good service. I love that they use the toast app for ordering because it texts when the order is ready.

First time trying DropTop after hearing amazing things! The California Smash Burger was tasty and flavorful, however, there was a hair with fuzz in my fries which ruined the experience.
