Downtown Café--one of the best breakfast spots out there, and I'll die on that hill. This place feels like a family had an extra room, threw in some tables, and decided to bless the world with their cooking. And I mean that in the best way possible. It's cozy, unpretentious, and just downright great.The service? Always on point. The waitresses and manager are genuinely some of the nicest people you'll meet. The food? Consistently fantastic. I've been here at least 30 times, and they've never missed. Not once.I'm a creature of habit, and I stick to my staples because, frankly, they're the best on the menu. The Michigan Pancakes--stuffed with apples, walnuts, and sun-dried cherries--are the best pancakes I've ever had. The apples taste like homemade pie filling, and every bite is perfection. Comes with a side of bacon or whatever else you're in the mood for. If I'm not getting those, I'm going with the Chorizo Hash, packed with onions, peppers, and poached eggs, or the Corned Beef Hash--made fresh to order, never from a can--sautéed onions, potatoes, and more poached eggs on top.This is the kind of place you leave happy, every single time. Great food, fair prices, and it's clear they just want to share their cooking with the world--not rob your wallet. Can't wait to come back.

Great breakfast / brunch place. Small cozy dining room but COLD when door opens in winter. Excellent friendly service. Fast and hot. Sit Outside in good weather! Specials looked amazing! I ordered a poached egg over hard and almost no one actually cooks it hard but it was perfect!

good food, good place for a morning meeting and a cup of excellent coffee. The owners are exceptionally cheery at 7 AM and the service is always smooth. It's usually full of two tops getting the business days started. An excellent place to have in downtown Rochester. Parking is metered on the street and free behind the building.

Such a cute place! We have been hanging out on downtown rochester for years and never knew of this place! The food truly tastes homemade, the service is excellent! Very accommodating! 10/10 will definitely be back!

Had the Avacado toast...it was solid. The cooked tomato was a great add, but it made the bread a bit soggier than I like, but definitely not a big deal. Poached eggs were perfect. My daughter got the berry pancakes, which looked amazing. I wouldn't have changed anything.Overall, good prices and interesting menu. Definitely somewhere I would go back to.

Food was okay. I expected more based the reviews and hype. Staff were friendly. Very small inside. I'll go to a hire end place outside of downtown instead.

"Wild berry pancakes" were excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else for breakfast/lunch in America. The Christmas decorations remind me of home. And the service is excellent. A+ from me.
