This place is a very cute rustic barn - like restaurant. I came here for brunch on the weekend. The service is great, and the food and drinks are high quality! (I admittedly went twice in one weekend ... with 2 different parties, so this review is for a combination of different meals)Mocha - very very good. You can tell they use high quality chocolate in their mochas too! Eggs Benedict - I'm a sucker for eggs Benedict. Theirs come with Berkshire ham, which was delicious! Would highly recommend!Biscuits and gravy - an elevated version of biscuits and gravy. Definitely super filling if you're hungry! They offer it with eggs as well, but honestly I didn't need it, and was super full without it! Mushroom sandwich - very very flavorful. Pro tip: can also add an egg on the side or in the sandwich, even though it doesn't say so on the menu. The egg adds a wonderful balance and creaminess to the sandwich!Pistachio cardamom bun - I actually could've done without this. It was a bit dry and didn't taste like pistachio or cardamom :/

Reservations are a must!Already the dinning experience is elevated the moment you drive into the parking lot with Complimentary Valet service. When you walk in, you're greeted by calm creams and wood color, a fire on the right with intimate tables next to it, a beautiful bar stocked high and soft and very cool music playing. The hosts/hostesses are friendly and welcoming. We're greeted again by our server as we're seated at comfortable size tables and chairs draped in faux fur rug. It gives off Alpine vibes in all the right and cozy ways. The menu, both beverages and food - is curated to perfection and with such intention. As much as possible, the food/bev is local. They have their own greenhouse so also grow as much as they can. We chose the beet salad. This is a great portion size for four people, maybe even six! Golden beets, which is already uncommonly used in restaurants, was a happy and unique experience. The Tonnato was INCREDIBLE and I wanted more! I've had the original version of this at many places around the world and this version and use of clean flavors rocked our world. It brought a tear to my eye as there is nostalgia in every bite. We knew from the start that we wanted more than one dessert to try (did I mention we're only 2 people) so we went with the pizza as the closer for the savory dishes. We saw many tables with pizza, read it's a highlight..... yes - this is a highlight and you MUST order a pizza for the table. We asked for extra garlic on ours and it just kicked things up a notch. We also used their garlic chili oil and it's such a nice compliment to the earthy and slightly sweet flavor from the pizza. The dough is chewy and full of flavor but nicely thin. Next time, we will get the fried chicken for the table. We saw a few tables with this as well but with only two people, that would have been too much food. We've already planned our menu choices for the next visit. Dessert.... This needs its own page. If the savory creations didn't already blow your mind with flavor, plating, conscious choices of sourcing ingredients, dessert takes it another step forward. We wanted three but was being responsible and chose two (ha ha). The chocolate cake was a must from comments of neighbor tables, the server and manager. When so many people praise it, you need to give it a go. Yes, please have the chocolate cake as one of your dessert choices. It's moist, rich, the filling light and creamy and topped with sea salt to totally blow your mind and change your perception of dessert. Not overly sweet and I'd even err on the savory side. I personally love a more savory dessert and it's almost impossible to find in this country unless you make it yourself. Look no further because these are the desserts for you. Our second choice was the brown butter apple cake Mille-feuille. Again, this traditional dessert turned on its side, rich and savory and apple explosion. The Mille-feuille rich and crunch. All finished with cappuccino and espresso macchiato that would make any Italian barista proud.

Since this place opened we've ordered their pizzas for takeout a few times, and they've always been excellent. Thin, crispy crust with toppings spare but very flavorful. We tried their sit-down service for my birthday a couple week ago. It was a Saturday night and the place was hopping, but we'd reserved a table well ahead. The waiter was gracious and good humored, took our order quickly and never let our water glasses go empty.I ordered antelope with a juniper-blueberry sauce on grits. The grits were quite savory, with a nice sweet contrast coming from the berries. The meat itself was a bit tough, despite being served rare--had to apply lots of muscle to cut it, and it chewed very slowly. The meat had a very subtle flavor, subtle as in you had to let it sit in your mouth and wait...wait...then somewhere toward the back of your tongue, there it was...faintly. Our waiter remarked a few times that antelope wasn't gamey in the least, though that would have been a step up.My wife got the chicken florentine, which she said was tender but not especially impressive flavorwise. The vegetables accompanying it might have been portioned out more generously. The highlight of the night might have been the caramel apple mille feuille we split for dessert. Good fruit and spice flavor with a nice crunchy pastry. Won't rule out a return since we're in walking distance, though honestly the night left me craving one of their pizzas.

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. Relatively quiet and lovely atmosphere. My friend and I met for dinner to catch up. We were greeted by India. We ordered a bottle of wine and placed our entree orders. I had the cod special, my friend ordered the mushroom pasta with truffle. We finished with the chocolate cake. It was a delicious and very enjoyable experience. We will be back.

Dixboro Project is phenomenal. Sava has done it again, what can't the woman do! This was the best brunch experience we had ever had. Our server was the most passionate and enthusiastic waiter we've encountered and took the best care of us! The restaurant is so nicely decorated and the staff were all so kind. The food all fresh and grown on the property, each item made from scratch. The place and experience is a true work of art. Each meal was so tasty. We all ordered a dish and then also ordered the pizza and dessert. We spent over two hours talking and enjoying the ambiance, food and service. I cannot wait to go back. I will most definitely be taking all my guests to the Dixboro Project for brunch!

Fabulous dinner and service. We had their radicchio lemon/pecorino salad, the cheddar/broccolini risotto, the beef tenderloin steak and the antelope. Every one of them was delicious. We then topped it off with a most decadent cheesecake.Beautiful restaurant. This visit the back room felt a bit sparse given there wasn't a large botanical presence as there had been in the past.Word: Corkage fee is $45.If you have not dined here, what are you waiting for?! You'll love it as we do!

This place is a delight. It is nestled in the remote hills of eastern Washtenaw County where it meets Western Wayne County. It is worth the trek from downtown suburbia and you might enjoy the ride.Upon arrival you will discover a large spacious room decorated in a scandanavian minimalist style. Uncluttered and welcoming.Drinks are kind of normal but expensive--watch out for traps like $45 for a small pour of Highland Park 18. Come on guys--cut the costs and increase the pour!!The food was great. Creative and delicious. We started with beet and caesar salads which are huge! Then mains including the vegetarian bowl, butternut squash gnocci, the halibut, and the antelope! Both the gnocci and the antelope are fantastic and worth the trip. I want to go back soon!

This unique venue just outside Ann Arbor is one of our favorites. The food is always fresh and the menu seems to vary somewhat depending on seasonality and chef inspired dishes. The service tonite was exceptional! My wife and I prefer to dine at the bar as it heightens the social aspect of chatting with the bartenders and often leads to great conversation with guests sitting next to us. Chelsea, Raleigh, and Becca were fantastic servers and hosts, very attentive and insuring we always had everything we needed. All of them were also very cordial and conversational which we loved! It's hard not to order Pizza at Dixboro because it is so good. Tonite, however my wife had the Cod with sunchoke, parsnips and dill. The Cod was perfectly prepared, flaky, flavorful and very fresh. I had the Butternut Squash Gnocchi with turkey sausage, walnut crumble,Calabrian chili. Let me say that while I am Italian, Gnocchi is my least favorite pasta. This dish however had amazing flavor profiles from the turkey sausage and chili. Kudos to the Chef. I would definitely order this again. Would highly recommend checking out Dixboro if you are in the area. Reservations are suggested.

This is one of my preferred spots for brunch not only because I can pick up breakfast pastries next door but also because the menu is so different, so appetizing. Let me clarify. Instead of the typical eggs, bacon, and hash browns, which I love, or the stack of pancakes, which I also love, the menu included:- French Toast with Saskatoon berries, made from zucchini bread- Croque Madam- Open-faced crepe with beautiful mushrooms and summer squash- Duck confit with egg over hash- Egg prepared Katsu-style, with BLT I compared it to a previous menu I saved onto my phone and approved of the evolution of this menu.We dropped in on a sunny afternoon. It was hotter than expected so despite being under an umbrella, I baked. We should have moved indoors, a beautiful and open space framed with wood beams and large windows. As we chatted on the patio, we noticed several guests enjoying their meal (potentially from the attached, The Boro) on the grounds. It was such a lovely idea.My friend ordered the mushroom crepe and yogurt with pecans and kiwi while I had the Katsu BELT. The crepe looked incredible. I love mushrooms and squash and had to restrain myself from ordering one, as well. I've had the yogurt before and appreciated the various textures: creamy yogurt, crunchy nuts and oats, and juicy, sweet fruit. The Katsu egg sandwich was... interesting. Imagine scrambled eggs, formed into a patty, and then breaded like a pork chop. This was served on a brioche bun with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I thought the egg dominated the sandwich - I really did not notice the bacon or tomato. For dessert, they were out of most items so I settled for the Rocky Road cookie. I'm typically not a fan of Rocky Road anything. However, the cookie was sheer perfection. Crunchy cookie, toasted, melted marshmallows, and rich chocolatey flavor. So, so good. Not only do I intend to return to try the other items on the brunch menu, but I would also like to return for dinner. The dinner menu is equally exquisite: lamb, scallops... and Parker House rolls. Yes, I would go just to try out the Parker House rolls.Service was fine.
