Detroit Wing Spot

After reading other reviews about this location. I can understand the frustration of some however my experience was quite different. I order 2 x Big Vizar Seafood Broils and 11 lambs chops for my New Year Celebration. I arrived home with my meal inspected each item separately. The Lobster was cook very well, the crab was also good, the strip was clean properly and seasoned, eqqs were medium boiled, sausage was tender, potato's were also seasoned well and soft. The only issue I had was the lamp chops were not as thick and double stacked as advertised and they were not as good as other venues I have experienced. I enjoyed my experience at the restaurant as an employee helped me carry my trays to my vehicle and texted me to let me know my food was ready to pick up (I was in my vehicle due to Covid regulations). I honestly say if you haven't tried this place give it a chance and form your own opinion. It's a bit of a wait so I suggest your order over the phone and pick up.

I like an occasional mom and pop spot this is a whole in the wall selling food not a restaurant -Depends on your standards....

The food is not good and is really bland . I would definitely not recommend going here as it is super expensive and does not taste that good

Ordered through DoorDash. The Alfredo itself is okay. Nice flavor. I'm just mad about this little ass shrimp. The description says a half pound of shrimp. I doubt i got a gram of shrimp.

check on google for this place for my main review Update cause I'm still angry and maybe yelp can help: contacted the manager the next day, on 10/11/21, talked to him on the phone from the restaurant, he swore up and mf down that they cooked my order entirely, then made it like the dasher stole my LOBSTER and FRIES. The night I received my order, I asked this man if I could check his car before he pulled off, just in case, because my pan felt light and he had no fries. No hidden lobster or fries. I didn't eat a bite of anything else from the pan besides of what I said on my google review. The owner was basically accusing me of eating the boil and wanting a refund or another one. NO, THE BOIL WAS EXTREMELY TRASH, NO I DON'T WANT ANOTHER ONE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK THOUGH. After almost 20 MINUTES of arguing with "Mr. King on the phone, and throwing me some bs a$$ exchange, AND saying I have to pick it up, I finally "give in" (a test) and agree to it, so he then hangs up on me before I had another chance to say anything. Which goes to show he just wanted to keep my money and just wear me down, gaslighting me and sending me in circles.After that, I text this man (since he seems to like to "personally handle the customers) and wait for a response on this "picture" of my food they seem to take before every delivery is sent out. I get nothing. I, however, send tons of proof of my order being messed up, the discrepancies of the order in difference to the site description, the food that seemingly looks spoiled upon closer inspection, and so on. He fights tooth and nail for my $104.04 lmao. He then proceeds to show me--basically show off--his frozen food, WITH HIS BARE DIRTY HANDS, in this super dirty environment. Like "Hey, our food isn't spoiled we get it fresh, but it comes frozen. Here it is in my dirty hands though." Clearly looks bad, even frozen. At that point, I was disgusted and just said keep the money. You so desperate? You're gonna need it for the upcoming court case that's about to come, from the State of Michigan, health inspectors and the BBB. But really, I'm playin', I WANT MY D@MN MONEY BACK. How far do I have to take this, like really. Cause I can go further. Refund me my money. Have a blessed day.

This is definitely one spot where you DON'T need to stop. This is literally the worst food decision I've made in years! This rating is actually a zero. I believe this business is intentionally misleading customers through billboards, building signage, websites and in-store engagement. They seem to be readily taking advantage of customers. My husband and I were on 94E and spotted a HUGE billboard that stated, "$3 lamb chops". We went back that way and I pulled up Yelp and their website to view their menu and photos. On both, they advertise their double cut lamb chops.They state it's like having 2 chops in one. We got there and as I looked at their order screen, a lady came up and started explaining what they had. We said that we wanted the $3 chops (that were pictured on the side of the building and on the menu screen). She said that price wouldn't start until October and that they were $4.50. We ordered that, the lamb sliders and 3 JUMBO chicken wings (please see the photo). She said it would be 15-20 minutes, so we waited. As we did, we observed children playing in the parking lot and running back and forth inside the store. He went in and the food was not ready. We continued to wait, as one of the workers came out telling one of the children she would have their food in a minute. Then she lit a cigarette and began to talk to the lady in the truck, where the children were coming from.Then brought them food multiple times to the truck. When the order was finally ready after about 45 mins., I opened the box and was disgusted. The chop was like a slice of a lamb and most of it was fat. The "zip sauce" was like some kind of teriyaki or something. I took the Lamb Chop back in and went up to the counter where one of the children that was previously in the truck was sitting on the counter talking to one of the other workers . The woman who had assisted me earlier was at the counter behind them on the phone and eating fries with her fingers . The boy that was sitting on the counter called her by name so that she finally gave me her attention. In case you're wondering there were no masks or gloves in sight I explained to her that this was not what I had ordered and she said that I had ordered through her . I told her that I had also looked at the menu. She said that she was only doing single cut chops that day and a lot of people come in and pay $4.50 for them . Not really in the mood I left . We pulled off and I looked at the rest of the food. The "jumbo" wings were teeny-tiny (see pic), dry and tasted like they were a day from being totally spoiled. I had to throw them away. The lamb sliders could have been good, but they were extremely overcooked and dense. We didn't eat those either. I found reviews for them dating back a year, advertising the $3 lamb chops. They had also told another person who posted a Yelp review a month ago that they were having a meeting in a couple of weeks to get to that price, even though this billboard and/or signage has apparently been up for well over a year, for something that they do not offer.

The service is trash I ordered on DoorDash came to pick my order up for the owner/Cook to tell me They were out of Steak and Salmon offered to refund me my money and add a credit to my account, for him to do neither i spent my money and didnt even receive a meal im outraged.

Wings were nothing special at all, and had no seasoning on them. I ordered mine with garlic and herbs. I also wanted to try the "famous" onion rings they rave about. They were nothing more than a frozen bag of onion rings I could have gotten at the grocery store. They also did not honor the restaurant.com certificate I just purchased. The prices were on the high side for the value of the food as well. The only bright spot was the young lady that took my order. She was very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

(In the process Of trying to write this review the owner came out and begin offering me money to just simply leave ) place is so slow you'll need to bring a razor with you to get rid of your 5 clock shadow after standing around stressed out that you could of just chose a place with proper management

Detroit Wing Spot on Harper is by far the most ghetto restaurant I've been to. The cooks walking around with blunts in their mouth. The workers was arguing and about to fight. Then the cook walked out on the job. They didn't have any food. They forgot I ordered the food, and a hour had passed. The food that was ordered, they told me it wasn't priced right and didn't wanna give it to me. Then when I was forced to cancel the order, they still didn't give me the money back. It's been two weeks and they pressed about keeping $60 instead keeping a happy customer. I stay around the block would have loved coming here on the regular but that experience ruined everything. I don't recommend anybody go here
