I had seen this bookstore on a instagram or TikTok and was inspired to check it out on a girls day outing and it didn't disappoint. We welcomed, everyone who worked there was very sweet. They let us we could look around and that we could order when we were ready. I ordered a hot cider and the lemon cake and my sister ordered a mocha and a slice of Italian wedding cake which I forgot to take picture of. They had a couple different spots to sit and enjoy. Everything was so beautiful and cozy. I would definitely recommend this spot to any book lover. A great spot to go with girlfriends and catch up or even a book club meet up. They are currently only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ooozing charm. Amazing spot to visit on a Saturday or Sunday when you're not in a rush. The owner, Pam, is so nice and makes every coffee by hand (vs. fancy machine). The curation of the decor is a feast for the eyes. Great spot to meet friends, read a book, etc.

A dreamy escape for cold winter weekend days!I feel so psyched to have FINALLY sauntered into this little slice of heaven that has been on my collections list forever.I'm so excited about it that I'm having a time finding the right words to properly describe it.First, let me say that another patron sort of admonished me for taking pictures to share here. Apparently, she doesn't want newbies to come ruin her secret hideaway.Well, sorry, I must Yelp about this magical book-filled vintage-themed coffee house.Admittedly, I sort of understand why she wouldn't want lots of people piling in on a given Saturday or Sunday. The shop is very low-key, quiet, and highly vibrational. Loud unintentional folk would definitely ruin the vibe. But other like-minded souls would adore the place and hold its sacredness. Walking in, you're definitely not expecting what you'll find. I felt like little fairies took my hand and led me to a magical eutopia hidden in the woods. The lighting and decorations gave me Harry Potter vibes. There were butterflies, bikes, and other whimsical things flying through the air. No, literally, chairs and other decorations hanging from the ceiling! It's a book lover's paradise. There are tons of titles stacked and shelved all over. There are lots of trinkets and tchotchkes for sale. You can find unique gift items here or find something special for yourself. While touring the place, I looked around at the seating, there's a counter seating area and a few tables. However, I saw my sweet spot as soon as I walked in...a comfy colorful sofa in front of a faux fireplace with books and pillows surrounding it.There are lots of treats for purchase. I chose pound cake. It was so light and moist, I gobbled it down with an almond milk caramel latte.HEAVEN!I took a slice of lemon pound cake to-go.I can't wait to go back and visit. Next weekend looks good.

I love this place, my Mother and I go regularly on Sundays. We come to knit or read(there are several books to choose or buy). The owner (Pam) is so knowledgeable about the current beverages available. So if you just want to chill, study or tickle your tastebuds please check out DETROIT VINTAGE.

I was almost questioning if I should leave a review because I selfishly wanted this beautiful coffee shop to remain a hidden gem. However, Detroit Vintage is such a lovely concept that it deserves to be known by all.Located next door to a weed dispensary on 8 mile, you would never imagine that you're about to step into an ethereal haven of coffee and whimsy (as soon as one of the owners unlocks the front door). When you enter, you are met with the sounds of soft classical music mingling with the joyous laughter of the patrons who probably knew of this location long before you. Your eyes might take a few moments to adjust to the glorious mish mash of decorations, wall art, knick knacks, and furniture all under a reddish dim light. Towards the cash register there is a pretty sizable display of cakes, desserts and other goodies to snack on while you sip your coffee. This is the type of place where you can relax on the comfy couches or chairs while remaining unbothered, or allow yourself to be distracted by all the strange and interesting art around you. Your choice! In keeping with the general theme of being lovely, the service we received was fantastic. We were brought a French press that was continually refilled, a bottle of mineral water, tea cups, and pitchers of cream and sugar. The prices are very reasonable. The proprietors of Detroit Vintage clearly want to provide the best café experience. To conclude: I'm no longer sure I was even here. Could it be that my afternoon at Detroit Vintage was just a fantastical dream? Note: they are only open on weekends. Trust me, it is worth it to carve out some time for this charming establishment.

Such a hidden jewel, sitting on 8 mile. This coffee shop is beyond cute. I can truly say this is one of the best cup of coffee I've had in my life. The beans are amazing and the ladies who own the shop are so delightful and full of passion for coffee and reading. The location is only open on the weekend's but it's a must.

A hidden gem, owned by two middle age women, it's almost like a page from a good book. These two women open this coffee shop only on the weekends and seems to be a merger between love for coffee and an antique shop. The ladies are so genuinely nice, that I couldn't help but think they were living a double life. There was noway these two lovely ladies would spend their weekends in a slow moving coffee shop, in walking distance to a marijuana dispensary. They must of been spies or must of be working on some huge project and this coffee/antique shop must be they cover. All these thoughts rushed thru my head while I looked around and waited for myFrench press caffeine delight. My wife ( she just follows me around kinna getting annoying) got some pour over coffee I think it was called and some carrot cake.We sat inside and shared our coffee and pretended to be sophisticated and important while we talked about politics and good books. Our caffeinated minds finally figured out what these two nice ladies were trying to cover up with these shop, they were witches. I don't mean the evil kind but the cute and adorable kinds because our coffeee and cake was truly magical. ( I know I know, corny! But true)5 stars because am following the crowd and feel pressured to give it in fear i might upset the sweet witches! I joke I joke! 5 stars cause I enjoyed everything about this shop! Can't wait to visit this spot my next time in the D!!

Entering through the back door gives off a speakeasy vibe. Then you enter a very cool vintage shop/book store. Great places to sit throughout to enjoy a coffee and pastry. Coffee was not the greatest I've had but the ambience and service make it worth a stop.
